About 22 minutes in, Hutch is seen making a phone call in front of a business called Newhall Pet Center. (When doing a search for that, the Evergreen Animal Care Center pops up.) Newhall is a city in North Los Angeles county, in what was later renamed "Santa Clarita". Many TV shows were filmed there.
This title was never purchased for broadcasting in France, as it was considered too "foreign" with the whole "country lifestyle" and twangy music/score. A few years later, Dukes of Hazzard would premiere there under the title "Sheriff, Do Scare Me" (Sheriff, fais-moi peur). It would be seen as an oddity, too boring for most French audiences due the extreme culture clash. (Country life in France is nowhere near what is pictured in these shows!) While S&H was wildly successful there, with virtually non-stop reruns in high demand, DoH would get very limited air-time and interest, with only a few seasons airing there.
When Starsky and Hutch are drinking in the Smokey Mountain Inn, the song playing in the background in Nobody Loves You Quite Like You Do, sung by Lynn Mattel and was featured in the finale episode of Season 3
A year later, another TV show would revolve around the theme of country hicks, with 2 leads pretty much attempting to recreate the success of Starsky & Hutch by modeling the characters (one blonde and one brunette) but as country hicks. That would be Dukes of Hazzard, and none of the two leads would have the charisma of David Soul and Paul MIchael Glaser. In Europe, that series was nowhere near as popular as S&H, where it was simply seen as a boring oddity.
