This episode did haunt me many years, especially that a girl was abandonned by its kidnappers and trapped inside a car, about to be crushed in a scrap yard.
However, the story is quite well done: Starsky and Hutch meet a psychic (who prefers to forget about it) who forsees a murdered man in an amusement park. However, a much more prior case happens when the daughter of a rich football team is kidnapped, and ransom is required by 5pm, no police involvement or the girl dies. It happens that it is linked with the murdered guy who happened to have a gambling debt, but was eliminated by his cronies (its chief, a heartless con named "Moo-Moo", prefers abandonning the girl in the scrapped car, in despair of his accomplice who better shut up).
With all the dots connected and finally a goof-off from the colleagues while Hutch races desperately from phone to phone brings the duo for one last chance to save the girl from the pressure clutches of a car press...
And the duo rewards the former psychic now a cook with the help of Huggy Bear !
Great episode and brings you to the edge of your seat, litteraly to the end...
