Mildly interesting...but incredibly talky.

The story begins in France in 1944. A wanted member of the French Resistance (Leslie Nielsen) has just arrived at a hideout. However, when the details of what he finds there are wrong...and instead of taking any chances, he shoots the man who was there helping him.

Years pass. Now this shooter is a reporter and he's given an assignment to look into some doings of the Resistance during the war. It's obvious he doesn't want the case...especially when he reads some of the material the newspaper sent him. It seems that his account of shooting the man is among the papers...and he is shocked to read that the man he shot several times at close range did NOT die. So, he decides to go to Marseilles to see if the man deserved to be shot or not...and if not, he needs to make amends.

The idea of this show is very good. But there are several problems. The biggest one is that there really isn't a lot of action...just LOTS and LOTS of talking. Second, although you get to hear an Edith Piaf song (the obligatory "Ma vie en rose") and a few of the characters have accents, many do not and the show could have done a better job by casting someone who could have at least effected a decent French accent (Leslie Nielsen sounded, well, just like Nielsen, for example). Not terrible and if the show had made a few changes, it could have been excellent.
