Clips from George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead (1978)" are used in this episode. They are intended to be scenes from the story's fictional film called "Spider's Kiss."
The movie mentioned in the episode, "Spider's Kiss," does not exist. The title was most likely made up by King as a mini-tribute to his fellow writer, friend, and fellow contributor to Tales from the Darkside (1983), Harlan Ellison, who did write a novel titled "Spider's Kiss."
The entire script for this episode was later published (in teleplay format) in Stephen King's 1993 anthology, "Nightmares & Dreamscapes."
