The music that plays on Raoul, Poplock & Rocksteady's boombox is the same music from "Cold Slither", the Dreadnock's song from the G.I.Joe episode of the same name.
The funky disco music also appeared in an episode of Spider-Man (1981), called The Pied Piper of New York Town (1981), where the same music strangely also had a hypnotic effect on the patrons at a disco.
Optimus Prime does not appear in this episode.
This is the only episode where Soundwave and Blaster face off against one another. The closest they came to a second confrontation was in the movie, during the battle of Autobot city. Where Blaster combated Soundwave's Cassetteformers, with his own newly introduced ones.
In the Japanese Headmasters series, the two would battle again, in a confrontation more violent than that of Optimus and Megatron's final battle in Transformers; The Movie. Resulting in their deaths. However, both were rebuilt with alternate color schemes and new names. Soundwave renamed Soundblast, with an alternate black color look. While Blaster was now called Twincast, with a blue and white new color scheme, as opposed to his original red and Grey.
This was so Takara could re-release the figures, that had been retooled to hold not one, but two Cassetteformers.
