The faster-than-light detection equipment had not been installed at Moonbase yet, but they were still able to detect the UFOs tens of millions of miles from Earth, coming to destroy said equipment before it was installed.
When the alien spacecraft hits the Rolls-Royce containing Col.Straker, his uniform is the correct US Air Force officer's uniform, jacket and slacks dark blue. When Straker is ejected, however, his uniform is US Army (dark green jacket and slacks. The error isn't corrected until Straker comes back to consciousness. after which his uniform reverts to US Air Force colors.
"Hereditary sterility" is a contradiction in terms.
A copy of the Daily Express is shown dated "24 August 1980". However that date was a Sunday and the Daily Express (published Monday-Saturday) would not have been published that day.
When Ed Straker is ejected from the Rolls Royce he is wearing the badge of the Basic Missile man above the right breast pocket of his USAF tunic. This is actually the place where his name plaque would be. The missile man badge should be in the middle of his left breast pocket.
Whenever an Interceptor (the moon-based vehicles) are preparing to launch, they're always shown as rising from their subterranean hangers, and a sound - the sound of an engine revving up to high-speed, is heard before they take off.
One small problem; their is no atmosphere on the moon, so, these engines-revving up would (1) not be heard, and (2) due to the lack of oxygen, their 'reviving (which is an engine's taking in more oxygen, and burning it), is impossible. Any engine/propulsion from a atmosphere-deprived body, means they can not 'burn' anything without having self-contained oxygen, as the amount needed is ridiculously high. As of now (2017), any engine would have to be able to burn without oxygen, or without any more than could be stored, on-board. Possible ideas for engines of the future work around this - including having a space 'sail' which would use the engine from captured ions, etc., but, even these would be incapable of enabling (what is essentially) a high-speed 'space-plane' to fly anything like this.

Early in the episode, when Straker is being escorted, only one of the motorcycle outriders has flashing blue lights.
The motive for the alien landings are to obtain human organs, yet in the opening scenes the alien is firing indiscriminately at the humans. Doing so would result in massive organ damage.
Peter Carlin appears in the initial scenes and is shot in the abdomen and chest after one of the females he was with was similarly shot and instantly killed. Despite the location of the bullet wounds being near critical organs, his injuries are minimal, and he is able to continue moving about. In reality, these wounds would have been fatal either instantly or shortly thereafter since he was in the wilderness away from medical treatment. Despite this, he goes on 10 years later to command the SHADO submarine and pilot Sky 1 .
When Henderson gets off the plane, he returns the salute to the USAF officer, yet when Straker gets off the plane he ignores the salute. Even in US Armed Forces it is Military custom to return the salute. As Straker is a Colonel in the USAF he should know this.
