This is the episode that introduces Kristanna Loken, as Sable O'Brien, the eponymous episode title character. On the main entry for UNHAPPILY EVER AFTER, one of the other reviewers is of the opinion that the episodes featuring Sable were the best of UEA and it is now my pleasure to get reacquainted with them, but unfortunately, the sound quality of my VuClip download is quite bad, sounds really, really tinny, and this might affect my ability to render quotes to be posted here.

It is the start of the Third Season. Tiffany discovers she now has competition, a tall, lithe Nordic goddess by the name of nothing less than Sable. Befriending her doesn't work, and... cat-fights, anybody?

It is noticed that Amber has been replaced by Chelsea (Shonda Whipple) as Barry's companion. And no sign of Grandma Maureen, as she was written out of the show. I think that one was actually the first major mistake. The old auntie was a barrel of fun. In her weird way. She was a good story character even if she might have irritated the hell out of the crowd who tuned in only to watch Nikki Cox. Please notice that I myself am one of those, but I saw the hilarity in the entire concept as well, and became a UEA fan as well as a Nikki Cox fanatic. Long story short, don't rework the original concept. It worked fine!

That said, Sable is a wonderful addition, not that she is main cast. But I do remember she appeared regularly.

I have yet to obtain and see BLOODRAYNE, but Kristanna is so breathtaking in here, that I am re-inspired to pursue that movie. Hot damn, the fox has legs! Think of Tiffany, and think of a worthy rival for Tiffany, and that equals Sable! As Ryan kneels in front of her (and she IS to kneel in front of) those legs are devastating, from the arched feet nestling perched in the strappy sandals all the way up over those glorious stretches...

I wish I had it on DVD! Ah, such is life...
