When the episode begins, the normally grumpy and antisocial Nitti has a new BFF...Leo Stazek (Telly Savalas). Stazek has impressed Nitti because he's got some neat ideas to improve the business and each time Stazek comes through, he and Nitti get closer. However, Stazek is a complete idiot...a criminal who has the nerve to be setting up a HUGE con on Nitti...something that could easily get him killed! It's because all these wonderful high finance deals are all a con...a BIG con to cheat Nitti out of a fortune. Hope Stazek can live long enough to enjoy it!!
This is a fine, fine episode...exquisitely written and really unusual...so unusual that I can't help but strongly recommend you watch it. Savalas is great, the show is great and exactly how well Stazek crafts his web of lies is truly exciting to watch.
By the way, in addition to Savalas, Frank Sutton ("Gomer Pile") is a guest baddie...Stazek's cousin.
