• Mr. Logan : [Tanna is strapped into a seat in a torture chamber, Logan speaks to him via a loudspeaker and over a series of high-pitched beeps and various unflattering images of Philip Roth timed to cymbal crashes]  Shall we begin our journey, Mr. Tanna? You will be treated every hour. Unless you cooperate, you will find the journey to be a very long one. This is the man you call your friend, Philip Roth. He does not call you HIS friend. He thinks of you as just one of his many other employees in Las Vegas... a puppet he can dangle from a string at will... he USES you, Mr. Tanna, the same way he uses other people associated with him. His treatment of you has become intolerable... therefore you have no recourse but to kill him. Say that you will kill him, Mr. Tanna, and you will be rewarded.

  [the noises intensify and continue for a period, without Tanna breaking, his henchmen arrive] 

  Mr. Logan : All right, take him away.

• Mr. Logan : [Logan enters room where Remick is playing chess]  Roth is dead... but Tanna was taken by federal agents before I could get to him.

  Emil Remick : [sweeps chess pieces from board onto floor, alarming Logan]  No... Roth is NOT dead! Tanna was never programmed!

  Mr. Logan : [in disbelief]  That's impossible.

  Emil Remick : Is it also impossible that Roth was not even on the yacht? And for all we know, not even in the entire state of Hawaii?

  Mr. Logan : I saw him kill Roth!

  Emil Remick : You saw him FAKE the killing... of ANOTHER double! Obviously, he got the idea from you.

  Mr. Logan : All right... then what do you suggest? I can only assume that since the representatives of other countries are already here, that Mr. Roth WILL arrive on time for tomorrow's meeting.

  Emil Remick : I shall take care of Mr. Roth. You take care of Tanna... because he can link our faces with our activities. We shall leave here tomorrow afternoon having accomplished everything.

  [beat] 

  Emil Remick : Mr. Logan... you needn't bother coming with us unless you have brought the news that Tanna is dead.

  [Logan turns and leaves] 

• Mr. Logan : [Logan has just fatally shot Lani and is shooting towards Tanna]  You've embarrassed me, Mr. Tanna! I don't like that! You're gonna pay for it now! I counted your bullets, Mr. Tanna! You've fired six, remember? Question... would you carry extra ammunition on your way to see the girl? I think not..I'm betting my life on it! You come from a gambling city, Mr. Tanna... will you take my bet?

  [Tanna leaps from overhead and tackles Logan, they fight, Dan gets control of Logan's pistol and aims it at him] 

  Dan Tanna : Run.

  Mr. Logan : What?

  Dan Tanna : Run... or I'll blow you away just for the hell of it!

  Mr. Logan : Run where?

  Dan Tanna : [gazing towards pineapple field]  There.

  Mr. Logan : [Logan stands up and surveys the field]  I'll be cut to ribbons!

  Dan Tanna : Really? Show me! Or would you rather have your brains spread around? There's a service road 50 yards ahead... you make it, I might let you live. RUN.

  [Tanna aims and fires towards Logan... Logan runs and falls several times, screaming in pain, but makes it to the road]
