- Geraldine takes the baby into the backroom to change its nappy. She walks away for a moment, at which point the baby falls on the floor. It happens off screen, and it's played for laughs, even though it may be upsetting to parents of young children.
- Geraldine becomes emotional when David proposes to her.
- Owen cries at the christening.
- David is disappointed when Geraldine withdraws her acceptance of his marriage proposal.
