Other than Sheriff Clu Gulagher making some appearances the rest of the regular cast is not in this Virginian episode. Guest stars are in charge of this episode and chief among them is Victor Jory.

Jory plays an old time outlaw just released after serving 35 years in prison for the murder of another outlaw. It's rumored he's got a lot of stolen loot hidden away somewhere and all kinds of folks are interested. They include some current outlaws, his daughter and son-in-law, and the brother of the man he shot for which Jory was sent to prison for.

Jory is hardly the outlaw he was back in the day. In fact with his 35 year stretch he accumulated a lot of wisdom and the climax is when he dispenses said wisdom to all concerned at the scene of that shooting in Medicine Bow.

Victor Jory does a great guest star turn and also look for a good performance from Linden Chiles as a bottom feeding yellow journalist,.

this episode was a real snoozefest

Linden chiles and victory jory bore you to tears for a 2 hour episode ... the tv ads were more interesting than the story ... this episode was a filler trying to get to the season finale without wearing down the rest of the cast ... and clueless gulager was a legend in his own mind
