Genial Doug McClure finds a sick J. Pat O'Malley in his cabin. He's an old timer who has finally struck it rich and he's got a pair of nasty characters looking to
rob him.
What O'Malley wants from Trampas is to deliver a letter to his long lost niece in town and bring her out to him. Don't know exactly what she looks like but she has a birthmark where the sun don't normally shine. Only two saloon girls have the telltale mark, Barbara Rhoades and Jill Donahue. O'Malley's pet dog who went with McClure can't help, but he gives us some laughs.
In fact the whole episode is built for laughs. It's like one of those comedy relief Bonanza episodes that were written to break the drama tension. McClure beautifully deadpans the whole episode.
