  Barnaby West : You're sounding just like Bill. Chalk it up, write it off, live and let live. No wonder Sam Race is always smiling. He leads a real fine life. Everybody turns the other cheek, but not him.

• Cooper Smith : Sounds like you didn't like the way you left this town last time. Maybe you figure leaving more dignified this time? Is that is, boy?

  Barnaby West : I came back to tell you you're not much of a man. I know you're a thief. I know you're a cheat. And that doesn't add up to being much of a man.

  Cooper Smith : You must be aiming to prove that, me not being much of a man.

  Barnaby West : I figure I have to try.

  Cooper Smith : You're wearing a gun, I see.

  Barnaby West : A gun only proves who's the best shot. Sometimes it doesn't even prove that.

  [Barney tosses his gun aside] 

  Cooper Smith : You comin' at Sam with your bare hands? Boy, I can see your knees shakin' from here.

  Barnaby West : You ready, Mr Race?

  Cooper Smith : Known for my accomodating ways.

  [as Barney steps forward, he is tripped, dusted down, and then slugged by Sam's men]
