Tom lectures Diana about her anger. He isn't upset that she's a curmudgeon but sees that most of her anger is unproductive. Instead, he proposes to her that she direct his anger in a way to help society...so Diana decides to enter a local political race. At the same time, Harvey 'idiot' Baines also decides to run...so, on a lark, Tom also enters the race, but isn't at all serious about winning. How do you know? When the three are interviewed by the folks in charge of the local political party, Tom gives insane answers. But what really comes as a shock is that Diana seems to HELP Harvey during this interview. What gives?!
Aside from politics, the other theme in this one is, again, cost-cutting measures by Baines. He naturally incurs Diana's enmity about this...though, as I already mentioned, Diana HELPS Harvey...and why, you'll need to see for yourself.
