Another out-of-control vengeful woman? Yikes......head for the hills - it's the nasty "Angela," played by Fay Spain, who starred on a lot of good television shows all the way up to her early death at the age of 50 (cancer).
Two other pretty famous actors are in this episode: Wayne Rogers, who starred in TV's early editions of "MASH," and Warren Oates, who played in a lot of feature films of the '60s and '70s.. They play partners and bad guys in this one.
Randall walks into this situation, looking for a guy named "Quinn," but he's already in the sheriff's possession. He's the guy who was responsible for an old man dying in the show's introduction. That guy was the father of "Angela," and she wants this guy lynched NOW while the sheriff wants to do things the right way and bring the accused back to a neighboring town for trial. She vows he'll never make it, and Randall offers to help. The sheriff declines but a shocking development takes place and now Josh is going to risk getting killed by taking the guy himself.
Not only is this a well-acted episode but it's nicely-photographed, too, and has good suspense. It's a very solid entry in this second season.
