- Josh Randall: Martin, I'm going to take you - and you're good to me dead or alive, so you can make up your own mind how it's going to be.
- Josh Randall: You! My horse is out front. Bring him around back.
- Tom Wade: Everybody's out there. They're going to ask questions.
- Josh Randall: Then you better have the right answers.
- Carl Martin: Louise... Louise...
- Dr. Glen Leach: Who's that?
- Andy Martin: A friend.
- Dr. Glen Leach: Nice to know you got one.
- Louise Martin: Who are you? W-what do you want?
- Josh Randall: Just passin' through. Thought maybe you'd make me the loan of a chair.
- Louise Martin: Oh? What do you want with a chair?
- Josh Randall: Well, I'd like to slide it under a table. You know, it's been so long since I've had a sit down meal, I'm not sure I bend that way anymore.
- [Andy sneaks up behind Josh]
- Josh Randall: You're a brave man, Martin.
- Andy Martin: It's easy when you get the knack.

- [Josh secretly arranges for the reward money to be deposited in the wife of the slain marshal's bank account]
- Tom Wade: Josh... you know, I've heard a lot about you and not very much of it has been good. Yet after the way we treated you, you do a thing like this and you don't want anybody to know about it. Seems to me like if the word got around you might have some more friends.
- Josh Randall: Simple. The kind of friends who have to know I don't want. I'll see you around.
- Carl Martin: Oh, you're gonna pay for this, Randall, and the price is gonna be real high. I just wish I could do it slow.
- [Dr. Glen Leach takes a look at Carl Martin]
- Dr. Glen Leach: What happened to him?
- Andy Martin: He got bit by a fly.
- [Dr. Glen Leach finishes pulling a bullet from Carl's back]
- Dr. Glen Leach: That fly must have had 30.30 teeth.
