When Shardene emerges from the office at the club, she walks past a paper sign on the wall. The sign has been annotated, but its original text reads "The 6 inch rule is strickly ENFORCED"
George Pelecanos, who had never worked in television before, was shocked to find out that approximately 70% of his script had been rewritten by David Simon. For subsequent seasons, the two came to an agreement, whereby Pelecanos would point out which scenes or lines he absolutely didn't want Simon to change.
This is Sydnor's last appearance until season three.
David Simon creator of the show provides the voiceover in the Courtroom as the bailiff who announces the entrance of the judge for the Barksdale sentence hearing.
The title refers to the cleaning up of loose ends performed by the Barksdale crew, as recommended by their lawyer Maurice Levy as well as that of the police forced to bring in the case in the wake of the effects of The Hunt (2002).
