Warning: Spoilers
An early TV appearance of Richard Anderson as Ricardo del Amo, in this case a "friend" of Don Diego de la Vega who has a penchant for pulling what he sees as practical jokes. You will know Anderson better from his partial leads on Bus Stop, Perry Mason, Dan August, The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Bionic Woman. Here del Amo accuses Don Diego of being a horse thief using the name Julius Caesar. And there is the feigned assassination he attempts against Don Diego. Of course when he overhears a plot by two men to steal the army payroll no one believes him and when the payroll is taken, it is thought he is responsible and it is just another joke. Of course Zorro saves the day and also rescues the beautiful Anna Maria Verdugo. Not one of the better episodes but it starts a brief story arch featuring Anderson.
