An edgier version of the Law & Order franchise with outstanding talent like Eric Balfour, Jordan Bridges, Milena Govich ("Law & Order"), Stephanie March ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"), and Julianne Nicholson ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent").

I only watched this to see Debbie Rochon, but I must have blinked. I'm glad I did stay with it as it was an interesting twist on the franchise.

The show focused on the personal lives of the lawyers as much as it did on courtroom drama. All the cases had a similar theme in this episode: forgiveness. It was overtly apparent in some cases as it was in the primary rape case with a victim (Emma Myles) that was "dogging" when things got out of hand. I can not see Sam Waterson handling that.

Seeing how the personal lives of lawyers might affect their handling of the cases was refreshing and it is a shame this series didn't go longer.
