Yes, it may be a little strange to see Steve Zodiac as a star of the flying trapeze, Zero as a circus ringmaster and Space city engineer Joc shot out of a cannon but it's all part of Venus' dream! It seems a little early in the series to be doing a dream episode--usually the sign a series is running out of ideas--but here it is. When Venus hears Steve celebrate his family's bi-centennial history as circus acrobats, she dreams Space City is putting on a circus. She even teams with Zoonie to form a terrible musical act (interestingly Zoonie, who only episodes before could mimic a creature like the Space Monster perfectly now can't even blow horns in sequence).

Trying to undermine the circus are Boris (disguised as a clown) and Griselda (undercover as Mivea, a fortune teller). They plan to sabotage Steve Zodiac's high wire act and capture Lt. Ninety so the evil Nomadians can stop being nomads and make earth their new home.

While I generally don't care for dream episodes, this does have enough interesting moments to make it worth watching. We finally get to see Venus wear something other than her uniform; Lt. Ninety gets to go on a mission; we discover Zoonie gets zany when laughed at; Steve also gets to go wear something other than his standard issue uniform and Robert tries to show off his sword-swallowing abilities.

Director Bill Harris shows a little more imagination than usual in his choice of shadows, angles and shots, and the story moves along at a fairly brisk pace.
