Plot Summary

Unlucky, clumsy, charming Marseille PD detective Émilien Coutant-Kerbalec must assist worse-than-Clouseau commissioner Gibert guarding a Belgian criminal reputed as dangerous as - and caged like Hannibal Lector. Émilien's cool friend, taxi driver Daniel Morales, initially only agrees to babysit both their buddy-sons, as Émilien's wife Petra is away on top-secret mission. But soon the Belgian escapes, and while chasing him the mates stumble on a bank robbery and a drug king's palatial villa, where the grand finale reeks havoc. Written by KGF Vissers

Trivia Daniel's Taxi is a Peugeot 407, replacing the Phase 1 and Phase 2 Peugeot 406 models used in the first three films. It's likely to be the 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine, though unusually the highest performance model in the range was a diesel. Most of the Marseilles police fleet in the film is also made up of Peugeots, mostly the 206 and 307, while Commissaire Gibert's car is a 607. See more »
Goofs Commissaire Gibert fires an LMC-X10 rocket launcher originally with 9 rockets. He only fires five rockets (the first through the window, the second hitting the safe, the third hitting the statue in front of the pool, and the fourth and fifth were fired in air and swirled to hit the second floor supports) but when he is done the rocket launcher is shown with three rockets remaining instead of four. Quotes Daniel Morales: Émilien, if you're so intelligent, tell me.
Émilien Coutant-Kerbalec: What ?
Daniel Morales: This dude just entered his food truck with a tuxedo, and moreover, with a fast-food drive-in bag. Why would he do that ?
Émilien Coutant-Kerbalec: Dunno, maybe their fries are better than his.
Daniel Morales: [sigh] ... You always have an answer for everything, don't ya ?
Émilien Coutant-Kerbalec: Yup, that's why i'm in the Police !
