NEW YORK -- Indie feature film download site Jaman.com has signed distribution deals with Fortissimo Films, Trust Film and Fortune Star and forged a new pact with Dreamachine.
Each 5-to-10-year deal makes many titles available for online download the first time. The Dreamachine agreement builds upon an initial 42-film distribution deal signed in May. Features from the company's Celluloid Dreams and the HanWay Films libraries include Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor), Wim Wenders (Buena Vista Social Club), David Cronenberg (Naked Lunch), Woody Allen (Match Point) and Kore-Eda Hirokazu (After Life) will be included.
Fortissimo's lineup of mainly Asian features includes Shunji Iwai's All About Lily Chou Chou and Danny and Oxide Pang's Bangkok Dangerous. Trust Film's collection includes several pictures from Lars von Trier (Dancer in the Dark, Dogville) and such directors as Susanne Bier, Lukas Moodysson, and Thomas Vinterberg.
Jaman.com will present the Fortune Star Film Festival, featuring the company's slate grouped as The Best in Martial Art, Legend of Lee's Family (with Bruce and Brandon Lee films), Legend of Chow Yun Fat and The Hollywood Asian Babes (with Maggie Cheung and Michelle Yeoh).
