A myth popped up that the BBC predicted a Labour victory. In fact, it was only one of their 3 predictions with the middle prediction (the one they were most confident of) being a hung parliament. The fact that the Conservatives won led to the phrase "the poll was wrong in 92" or variants thereof being used in every BBC election coverage by members of the parties since.
To mark its 25th anniversary on Saturday April 8th 2017, the channel BBC Parliament repeated it in full during the daytime. It trended on Twitter.
