Interesting work. It touched on the many different angles of Piracy
As documentary goes, this one is good. I find myself not able to look away as soon as it starts. The views within this documentary cover from the music and film industries, to artists, to radio stations, to movie theaters, and to the many other individuals, who all claim a stake in piracy.
One particular thing I like is how it doesn't paint a one sided picture about the said topic. Every point of view has a counter by another party each with its own logic, at the end all amounts to a very complete picture on piracy. Much more so than what other medias have been drilling us with in the past.
The only reason I didn't score it higher was that there were a lot of cuts within some of the interviews, those were done in a way that made it seemed choppy at times.
This being the first crack at full length production by the director goes to show what Canadian talents can offer. And the type of licensing agreements and the way of distributions chosen make this documentary a statement of its own in the piracy and file sharing debate.
