This isn't really a funny episode once again. I think the funnest part was to see Laura stuffing up her boobs with socks and Steve get all excited over it.

The story of Judy being jealous of Richie is again just a learning story for kids. On how to treat younger siblings and what is good about them. I can see that this is good since part of the target audience are school kids that may have younger siblings, but to me it was boring since it was not even done really funny.

Still I rate this episode above average mainly thanks to the dramatically done scene o Carl falling under ice. Sure, they didn't have great special effects and scenery but it was very adventurous and well acted.

Here it is! The only episode that focused on Judy! The focus was very small, however. Judy is jealous of the attention being shown to little Richie. Laura convinces Judy to apologize to Richie, but we don't see her do it. Why not? Jaimee Foxworth was cute. Why they gave her so little to do in the series (before they dropped her altogether) is a mystery. Another mystery was why Laura stuffed her bra with socks. Must have been to give Steve a reason to say "Laura...Bazooms!" The ice fishing stuff wasn't very interesting. Also, not much Steve/Laura interaction here. That's never a good thing.

Ah, Judy finally gets a bit more screen time. Although that part of the episode isn't as up to snuff as the ice fishing scene, it's a nice addition. Speaking of the ice fishing, the climax and eventual emotional scene between Eddie and Carl was well worth the wait!

This is one poor episode, from the get go the "Carl wants to spend time with Eddie but he is older now" it's as reashed as any story in Familly Matters, one other thing the episode fails at is building any kind of suspense to make the climax of the episode (Carl nearly drowning in the Ice) as nail biting as it should be. Yes, I know it's a sitcom , a fun, silly sitcom, but this was one opportunity they had to make a more serious and thrilling episode, and the story of Judy (probably her first storyline in show's history so far) is a boring one but with a cute, if predictable one. I would much prefer if the story was simply about Eddie and Carl going fishing with Urkel (nice add up there) throughout the episode with no scenes from the gang back home, I think that would've built a more claustrophobic environment and it would also make the climax note worthy, it could have been an 8 or a 9 but with this approach it's a 3.
