Put the two of MCU’s masters of metal into a battle, the obvious question would arise: Who would win in a fight between Iron Man and Magneto? Besides the obvious Magnetism factor supporting the powerful mutant, Iron Man will certainly not be ready to wave the white flag.

Iron Man is one of the most intelligent heroes in the entire MCU with his futuristic defense mechanism to aid his prowess over other strongest heroes or villains. He can beat down the green giant, Hulk, or Thor who is blessed with Godly powers. But again, what would be Iron Man’s ploy against the extremely powerful natural ability of Magneto?

For the first time in a while, Netflix is adding no new titles today, so let’s instead take the opportunity to recap what’s gone up on the streaming site over the past week, from Saturday, August 1st to Saturday, August 8th. As that encompasses the first day of the month, there was a huge amount of fresh content added to Netflix’s library over this period. To be exact, there were 49 movies and 24 TV shows.
On the film side of things, this haul includes many an acclaimed or cult favorite flick from across the decades in all kinds of genres. The highlight is probably the entire Jurassic Park trilogy, which has proved popular with Netflix users as the first two entries have been hanging around the top 10 most-watched movies list almost ever since arriving. 80s classic fantasy flick The NeverEnding Story and its sequel were added on the 1st as well,...

Though Netflix has dropped a few notable titles from its library to say goodbye to July, today has brought us a whole heap of fresh content to usher in the new month. With over 30 new movies and TV shows, August has been welcomed with a truckload of classic films, mostly from the 90s and the early 00s, as well as some other interesting titles that you may want to check out.
The most attention-grabbing additions are all three Jurassic Park movies, which are hopping over to Netflix after a short stint on Peacock. So, you may want to travel back to Isla Nubar yet again this weekend and treat yourself to a rewatch of the prehistoric trilogy. Elsewhere, there are the two sequels to Ocean’s Eleven and medieval adventure A Knight’s Tale starring the much-missed Heath Ledger.
Also, watch out for Tobey Maguire’s horse-racing themed drama Seabiscuit, Robert Pattinson...

Marvel Studios and Netflix once had a very close relationship, though the advent of Disney+ saw the Defenders superhero series cancelled and the companies drifting apart. That’s why it’s interesting that today sees the addition of a cool Marvel cartoon to the Netflix library that many viewers may not have seen. I’m talking about Iron Man: Armored Adventures, a 3D animated show that aired for two, 26-episode seasons in 2009 and 2011.
It was inspired by the then-recent success of Iron Man and has roughly the same tone of the early McU movie. But there’s a twist: this version of Tony Stark becomes Iron Man at just 16-years-old. He ends up in the armor earlier than usual after Howard Stark disappears in a plane crash, with the young Stark suiting up to investigate whether his dad’s partner Obadiah Stane had anything to do with it (spoiler: he did).

Netflix‘s new releases for August 2020 should be a hell of a good time.
How else are we supposed to describe the month that features the long-awaited arrival of Lucifer season 5? Yes, ol’ Lucy finally returns on August 21 for what is now the penultimate season of the show.
While Lucifer is the main highlight of Netflix’s original offerings on August, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some other intriguing options to stream. The Rain season 3 arrives on August 6, Wizards: Tales of Arcadia on August 7, and Teenage Bounty Hunters on August 14. That’s not even to mention a potential blockbuster movie in the form of the Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring Project Power.
In August, Netflix also continues its high-profile poaching of other worthwhile properties as well. August sees the arrival of both The Legend of Korra and Cobra Kai, opening up two worthwhile series to an even wider streaming audience.

Netflix is adding a seriously impressive line-up of content across August. In a bid to keep you indoors and out of the sun, the streaming giant has got a wide range of titles coming to its library next month, including various highly-anticipated original movies and TV shows, as well as countless beloved films that are being added – or are returning – to the site.
We’ve previously had a couple of updates on what to expect in August, but this is the full official list of everything that’s due on Netflix over the course of next month. As we already knew, some of the highlights include Jamie Foxx superhero vehicle Project Power and the fifth and penultimate season of DC’s Lucifer. Now, however, we can see there’s a lot more to look forward to besides just that.

‘Thor: The Dark World’ box office: ‘The Avengers’ bump to lead to $100 million weekend debut? Not likely (Photo: Chris Hemsworth in ‘Thor: The Dark World’) Thor: The Dark World opened with an estimated $7.1 million from Thursday evening, November 7, 2013, and Friday midnight shows at 3,841 North American theaters — more than 3,100 of those offering the Thor sequel in 3D. Directed by Alan Taylor, and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston, Thor: The Dark World far surpassed its Kenneth Branagh-directed predecessor at the domestic box office; the first film took in $3.3 million from Friday midnight screenings back in May 2011. (See also: “‘Thor 2′ box office: No Iron Man, Superman, Spider-Man, Batman.”) Now, one should remember that we’re comparing apples and pineapples here: the original Thor didn’t have the advantage of Thursday evening shows; also, the Branagh film was initially screened at only 1,800 locations. A similar distribution set-up also applies to another 2011 Marvel release,...

Tony Stark may have blown up all of my Iron Man armors at the end of "Iron Man 3," but that certainly doesn't mean that he won't be Iron Man anymore. In fact, quite the contrary as Marvel Studios' co-president Louis D'Esposito tells it in a recent interview with IGN. "It's hard for me to say what he's doing [in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'], what his emotional mindset is, but you can see where it was where we left it at the end of 'Iron Man 3," states D'Esposito. "He's in love with Pepper, he's made a grand gesture to blow up the suits at that point — but in the end, he couldn't help himself. He'll go back to tinkering. That's what he does."
D'Esposito goes on to comment on the fact that connectivity plays an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, perhaps shedding some light on the whole Jarvis/Ultron theory.

It's safe to say that Iron Man: Armored Adventures isn't the worst animated series Marvel has ever produced, and for proof you need only look at the animated Iron Man series that preceded this one (and many other Marvel animated series in between). However, that doesn't excuse Iron Man: Armored Adventures from featuring a woefully poor choice in animation style, the unfortunate decision to revert Tony, Rhodey, and Pepper (and many of their rivals) to teenagers, or some generally bad and annoying characterization. Bad ideas abound in this Iron Man run and as it's likely to get a little more attention in the wake of Shane Black's forthcoming Iron Man 3, you can't help but wish that the armored hero had a better TV representation than this, even if it does tackle some decidedly advanced Iron Man storylines.

Iron Man: Armored Adventures is pretty lucky in the grand scheme of things in that it has a predecessor that’s just about impossible to top in the horribleness of its quality. It lets us be a little bit more forgiving of 3D shaded animation that’s horribly stiff and ill-suited to portray any character that doesn’t have a metal exoskeleton (which is only half of them anyways). Those qualities put it right at the mediocre marker, however, the two major forces battling for the soul of this series and whether not it should be condemned or lauded are its willingness to incorporate a large number of Iron Man’s villains in decently creative ways and the decision to reduce Tony, Pepper, and Rhodes back to teenagers thus destroying any real depth to the characters beyond “Oh, I hope my parents don’t figure out I’m a superhero and ground me!

In the cinematic world, Marvel has made a bigger splash with its Phase 1 films and The Avengers than anyone imagined possible for superhero movies, and so it’s not surprising that in the last few years interest in Marvel properties in cartoon form has skyrocketed. While Spider-man has almost always had an animated iteration or two running, the Avengers and Iron Man have all seen new series pop up. While The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes was beginning to approach Bruce Timm levels of animated storytelling, the same can’t be said for Iron Man: Armored Adventures, a series that inexplicably casts Tony Stark as a teenager in a super suit stuck between a stupidly evil rival industrialist and the corrupt manager of his father’s company.

As everyone's favorite space bro from Mass Effect 3 gets his own animated feature, studios Production I.G. and T.O. Entertainment release a host of character, weapon, location, and creature sketche.
The prequel feature details a battle between Alliance Marines led by James Vega and an onslaught of Collectors on a human colony. If you've played Mass Effect 3, you'll know that tattoo and punching enthusiast Vega (voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr.) harbors some guilt about a past mission, guilt that makes his bristle at leaving Earth when its overrun at the start of the final game in the trilogy.
The film is directed by Atsushi Takeuchi, who previously helmed an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars along with episodes of 1992's Tenchi Muyô! Ryô Ôki. Paragon Lost is written by Henry Gilroy, another Clone Wars vet who also wrote for The Tick, Justice League, and Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

Marvel and Disney are looking to captialize on the success of The Avengers. Not only are they developing a new Avengers Assemble TV series to replace Earth's Mightest Heroes, but they are also developing a new Iron Man animated series. The news comes from the president of Disney Channels Worldwide, Gary Marsh, who let it slip in the following statement to THR when asked if he was looking into more Avengers series,
Two months ago, we launched Marvel Universe on Disney Xd, which became the exclusive home for new Marvel television content. We've developed Ultimate Spider-Man. Subsequent to the success of the Avengers movie, we've been developing a new Avengers Assemble. We're talking about a Hulk series and an Iron Man series, too. They're going to spend $150 million to $200 million to make these [movie] properties and then half of that to market them; I'm sitting here thinking, 'Thank you, Lord, you've made me look good.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter about the recent success of Disney Xd, Disney Channels Worldwide president Gary Marsh hinted that a brand new Iron Man animated series may be in the works for the network. There’s no question that Disney has been enjoying a wave of success with bringing Marvel superheroes to the small [animated] screen with such shows as Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as well as the upcoming Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Disney even has an additional Avengers series arriving next year which is rumored to replace the current Emh series, titled Avengers Assemble.
Given all the success that the studio has had with these shows on top of the monster returns that Disney has seen with Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, why wouldn’t they add Iron Man, the most revered Avenger from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to their roster of animated projects?...

Marvel Studios sent out a formal press release today announcing the commencement of production on Iron Man 3, despite filming actually beginning May 23, 2012 at Eue/Screen Gems Studios in North Carolina. The release did say, “The production schedule will also include locations in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, Miami, Florida and China.

Can’t get enough of The Avengers hype? Do you love Jon Favreau’s adaptation of Tony Stark/Iron Man? Do you want more Iron Man and less S.H.I.E.L.D.? Does your fandom spill into the realm of animation too?
If you answered yes to any or all of the above, then you need to check out the Marvel Anime: Iron Man The Complete Series on DVD. Using the first Iron Man film as the only required back-story, Sony and Madhouse Animation brought everything that’s great about Japanimation to Iron Man–the mecha look, the fast action, and a slightly edgier approach than what’s typically passed for as cartoons in the states.
The story is set up nicely to bring Tony Stark to Japan because he wants to bring free energy to Japan, applying his life-saving Arc technology to create a large reactor to feed the country.

During the San Diego Comic-Con International, it was confirmed that Darkseid and the evil New Gods of Apokolips will be heavily featured during the tenth and final season of "Smallville." Steve Byers (pictured) will play Desaad and Michael Daingerfield will step into the role of Gordon Godfrey in the third episode of the season, according to Kryptonsite. The episode is entitled "Supergirl" and also features the previously announced return of Laura Vandervoort as Kara.

Of course there was going to be a new Iron Man animated series in the wake of the smash success of the 2008 movie. Marvel delivered Iron Man; Armored Adventures, airing on Niccktoons as of spring 20098 with a second season promised this fall. Vivendi Entertainment has also collected the entire first season on five discs, being released today, the week Iron Man 2 jets onto screens coast to coast.
Unlike the 1994 series, also being released this week, this one has no connection to the movie reality or the comic book continuity. Instead, the team lead by showrunner Christopher Yost decided to make this an all-ages Iron Man. Possibly inspired by a storyline that reconfigured Tony Stark into a teenaged shellhead, this series introduces us to teenaged wunderkind Tony, his best pal Rhodey and hits the ground running.
In short, Obadiah Stane has engineered Howard Stark’s death and takes over the company.

Two more clips from Starz Media's animated companion piece to the upcoming EA video game adaptation of the classic tale Dante's Inferno came up from the depths today, and we have them for you all hellish and filled with torture.
Film Roman's Joe Goyette (Dead Space: Downfall) is the producer on the project, which Victor Cook (Hellboy Animated: Blood & Iron) is directing and Brandon Auman (Iron Man: Armored Adventures) is writing.
"The animated feature will be a great companion piece to the game," said Jonathan Knight, executive producer and creative director for Dante's Inferno. Just a few weeks after reporting that Universal will be giving Dante Alighieri's epic poem the live action treatment, news has now reached the trades that Dante's Inferno will also be getting the anime treatment!
Electronic Arts and Starz Media have teamed to produce their second animated feature, which will be based on the EA Game "Dante's Inferno." Film Roman, a subsidiary of Starz will produce the film, as it did with "Dead Space: Downfall," which was distribbed by Starz in the fall and was tied to the release of EA's high-profile sci-fi horror vidgame "Dead Space."
And to give each of the nine circles of hell (limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery) their full charm, separate anime studios are being commissioned to create each one.
The game and the anime are both based on part one of Dante's classic poem "The Divine Comedy," better known as "Dante's Inferno.

Electronic Arts and Starz Media are prepping an animated feature based on the upcoming Dante's Inferno video game. The two previously worked on Dead Space: Downfall which hit DVD last fall. That, too, was tied into an EA video game. Film Roman's Joe Goyette ( Dead Space: Downfall ) will produce with Victor Cook ( Hellboy Animated: Blood & Iron ) directing from a script by Brandon Auman ( Iron Man: Armored Adventures ). Inferno will mirror the game's plot and follow Dante's journey through the nine circles of Hell - limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery - in search of his true love, Beatrice. Following the multimedia model that made Dead Space such a success, Electronics Arts has once again joined with Starz and Anchor Bay to distribute an animated feature based upon the upcoming video game Dante's Inferno.
In the wake of the news of the just announced movie tie-in, Variety confirmed today that Film Roman's Joe Goyette (Dead Space: Downfall) is the producer on the project, which Victor Cook (Hellboy Animated: Blood & Iron) is directing and Brandon Auman (Iron Man: Armored Adventures) is writing.
"The animated feature will be a great companion piece to the game," Jonathan Knight, executive producer and creative director for Dante's Inferno, tells Variety. "The feature will explore aspects of the poem that the game does not, and will provide more insight into the characters and the unique story adaptation that the game has established."
Look for Dante's Inferno on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 next year.

Electronic Arts and Starz Media are joining forces to produce an animated DVD feature based on Dante's Inferno, the videogame that arrives next year. Universal is currently developing a big screen live action flick based on the same game. Inferno will mirror the game's plot and follow Dante's journey through the nine circles of Hell -- limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery -- in search of his true love, Beatrice. Both are based on part one of Dante's classic poem The Divine Comedy, better known as Dante's Inferno. Victor Cook (The Spectacular Spider-Man, Hellboy Animated: Blood & Iron) is directing and Brandon Auman (Iron Man: Armored Adventures) is writing. Film Roman, a subsidiary of Starz, will produce the movie, as it did with Dead Space: Downfall, which was distributed by Starz in the fall and was tied to the release of EA's high-profile sci-fi horror video game Dead Space.
