- Sue Ellen Ewing: Bartender,
- [chuckles giddily]
- Sue Ellen Ewing: where's my other drink? I thought you were going to get me another drink.
- [chuckles some more]
- Avery: [moves in next to her] Good evening.
- Sue Ellen Ewing: Good evening.
- Avery: My name is Avery. I'm the, uh, manager here.
- Sue Ellen Ewing: Hello... Avery.
- [chuckles, toys with his lapel]
- Sue Ellen Ewing: You know, I just like this place so much... I swear to you, I'm gonna drink here all the time.
- [chuckles, raises glass to take another sip, but it's empty]
- Avery: It would be our pleasure to have you back again.
- Sue Ellen Ewing: Thank you.
- Avery: But there's no sense in having you try to drink it all in one night.
- Sue Ellen Ewing: [chuckles] Oh! Sure there is, because the glass is empty.
- Avery: Why don't I call a cab and have you driven home?
- Sue Ellen Ewing: [shakes her head] Well, thank you very much, but... well, Avery, I'm not going home.
- Avery: Please, why don't I have you driven wherever you're going?
- Sue Ellen Ewing: [stares at him a while, then zips up her purse] That's very kind of you, but... I don't know where I'm going. Thank you.
- [gets up, walks out]
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: This isn't how I wanted things to work out at all.
- Bobby Ewing: That makes it sound pretty final.
- Pamela Barnes Ewing: I don't want it to be.
- Bartender: What would you like, m'am?
- Sue Ellen Ewing: [takes a long time to answer] Vodka. On the rocks, please.
