  Arsène Lupin III : Yeah, well, be that as it may... It'll be the land of the setting sun for you if you stick around here and end up in the middle of some revolutionary uprising.

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : But... What about my poor mother?

• [Lupin and Zenigata disguise themselves as burkha-wearing women] 

  Vendor : [to Lupin]  Excuse me, is that your sister? I am very besotted with her, I would like to marry her very much! I will give you my donkey, and enough goat testicles to cater to a wedding feast! They are of the very finest qualiy...

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : [reveals himself]  Yeah, well so are MINE!

• Foreign Legion Commander : Looks like we're one private short. Any idea of where your friend could be?

  Arsène Lupin III : [in the guillotine]  Kill me! I wanna die! Come on! Please? Somebody just cut the rope! Come on, do it! Just do it! Kill me! Come on!

  [He makes a show of frenzied sobbing] 

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Has... he lost his head?

  Foreign Legion Commander : You some kind of crazy guy?

  Arsène Lupin III : Hello? Only a crazy person would want to stay in a place like this!

  Foreign Legion Commander : Quiet! You can try and bail like everybody else!

  Arsène Lupin III : You're all gonna die! You hear that?

  [He gets a rope from his pocket] 

  Foreign Legion Commander : Shut up! That's not true!

  Arsène Lupin III : [throwing a rope around the Commander's neck]  Save yourselves! This guy's nuts!

  [Lupin pulls the commander into the guillotine, then grabs the rope and prepares to cut it] 

  Arsène Lupin III : Now! If any one of you moves a muscle, your Commander's gonna wear his hat around his neck. Pops! Grab their guns!

  [Zenigata hesitates] 

  Arsène Lupin III : Come on! They know you're with me now! You've got no choice!

  [Zenigata half-heartedly tries to grab a gun from the soldier next to him] 

  Arsène Lupin III : You schmuck! That's it!

  [the soldier refuses to let go of his gun and points it at Zenigata. The Commander bursts into triumphant laughter] 

  Foreign Legion Commander : If you really want my head, you can have it, my crazy friend. But your triumph will be brief.

  [All around, soldiers point their rifles at Lupin] 

  Foreign Legion Commander : Look around you.

  [Zenigata also has guns pointed at him] 

  Foreign Legion Commander : You see? The revolution's a serpent with many heads. Sooner or later, it bites you on the ass!

  [Lupin looks around and sighs, frustrated] 

  Foreign Legion Commander : So, what'll it be, my friend? Death now, or death later?

  Arsène Lupin III : Damn it.

  [In defeat, he drops the knife] 

• Arsène Lupin III : There's a train coming!

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : I'll race you down there!

  [They slide down the dune] 

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Get this damn chain off us.

  [They arrive at the track] 

  Arsène Lupin III : Uh, run that last part by me again?

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : We can use the wheels of the train to cut it.

  Arsène Lupin III : Hey, good thinking!

  [He and Zenigata lie on either side of a track] 

  Arsène Lupin III : Not that this hasn't been a deeply satisfying bonding experience or anything.

• Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : [holding Lupin lightly by the back of his jacket]  I got you right in the palm of my hand. And I'm not lettin' ya...

  Arsène Lupin III : [pulling himself free]  No wonder you never caught me.
