The most notorious aspect from this episode was the blatant confirmation (despite her constant betraying and backstabbing in classical femme fatale fashion) of Fujiko really loving Lupin deep inside.
Sure, her attempts from rescuing him from prison at first glance seemed a little bit motivated by self-interest, but one of the very last scenes she appears genuinelly mourning Lupin's "death", and openly admitting loving him in a inner monologue.
A decent, entertaining episode, which shows Lupin's most cunning side, being able to deceive Inspector Zenigata for an entire year, just to have the chance to humilliate him.
I like the ironic touch of the ending scene.
