With the great porn Romance labels (Adam & Eve, Wicked, Sin City) the rule of thumb is that quality has tailed off over the years, with the period surrounding Y2K representing the peak of artistry. This latter- day effort by Jim Powers for Sin City shows the talented director going through the motions, delivering standard-issue IR content for undiscriminating fans.
Byron Long and Devlin Weed, looking as if they were late on set and couldn't visit the wardrobe department, are cast unconvincingly as cop partners presumably aiming at some sort of monochrome spin on "Miami Vice" or perhaps "Beverly Hills Cop" times two (a terrible imitation of Harold Faltermeyer's memorable theme music for the Eddie Murphy hit introduces this weak feature).
As vice cops (hence the show's title) they are corrupt as possible, preying on poor, bedraggled denizens of the porn community, who slave away trying to make videos for the fans, not unlike this one. This permits Powers to involve most of his crew members on screen, not as satire or to make any point but merely to save a buck on extras.
They raid a house (twice) where a porn shoot is taking place and shake down some actresses for sex. Julian St. Jox plays the porn kingpin who also runs a drug empire and is named Showman, and they all hump white girls, a top audience draw back in 2006 and going even stronger in 2017.
Only interesting cast member in this yawner is Dana Vespoli, early on but already interested in giving her all, as she tries to invent a characterization out of nothing, then taking a very big black dick in her posterior. Bailey outdoes Dana with a d.p. scene.
