Aye, Carumba! What a dark little film!!
This is a very dark little comedy that may put people off because of its slow and gentle pace or bleak sensibilities. However, I really liked it--particularly at the very end of the film.
The film stars several older actors--something that's nice to see for a change. A 60-something lady is talking with her friend. She apparently feels very guilty, as she has recurring dreams of murdering her husband--even though he is, according to her, a decent man who any other woman would be thrilled to have for a spouse. Later, you see one of these dreams--and it turns out to have a very strange and funny twist.
Very well acted with a nice gentle pace and direction, this Mexican short film is a winner and made me laugh. However, if you like your films sweet and kind--don't bother with this one!!
