A family is put through hell by a merciless, vengeful scrap dealer, their only hope is WPC Ackland.
Very good this, it had a very different flavour to the usual episode, no thief taking, no dead bodies, but the use of soft power to stop, and prevent further crimes.
A cracker for June Ackland, less so for Loxton. She came across as just, tough and robust, it was great the way she stood up to the bullish Carr.
It may not have quite so well, were it not for the sheer brilliance of Stanley Townsend, the velvet voiced super talented man plays the part of a villain extraordinary well, as I found out a few nights ago in an episode of Wire in The Blood. He's fairly intimidating here.
Superintendent Brown nose strikes again, is there nothing that man won't do to appease the powers that be? It was almost comical how he repeated the words of The DACC to Derek.
Very good, 8/10.
