A woman turns up at The Station, claiming that a mourning brooch, taken from her in a robbery has popped up in an Antique shop, a familiar face from the past turns up to assist.
A good episode, with a different tone, not the usual gritty take of thief takers and slags, there's something altogether more refined about this one.
A comment was made here, which was certainly true enough, that Jim Carver certainly is very, very touchy, he's even more so here by the return of Mike Dashwood. Mark Wingett has been in the press a lot recently, explaining why he stayed in the show for so long, he loved playing the part, and rightly so.
It's nice that they seem to give episodes to former characters, they recently did it with Carolyn Pickles, good that it also happened for Jon Iles. Mike is is usual self here, only now he's in even smarter clothes, you almost expect him to be wearing a cravat.
Very good, 8/10.
