The film was written by a group of inmates at a Youth Secure Custody Centre, under the guidance of director and producer Larry Lynn.
Filming was done at the prison, while in operation. Actors and crew when through stringent security procedures to gain access to the set.
The teen inmates served as the crew for the film.
Nominated for Best Short Drama, Best Screenplay for a Short Drama, Best Director for a Short Drama and Best Editor for a Short Drama at the 2006 Leo Awards. It won the award for the 'Best Short Drama'. The Leo Awards are the British Columbia, Canada equivalent of the Oscar's and Emmy's.
