In Search of..."The Ogopogo Monster" (1978)

The Ogopogo Monster is a legendary creature, which is said to live in a lake in British Columbia. We're shown some video evidence of what some believe is the monster and then we get to hear about its history as well as one encounter with a human. This here is another very fun episode from the series. I had never heard of this monster before watching the episode so I found it to be highly entertaining. We're given some great interviews about the creature and there's no question that the re-enactment at the start of the episode was good. There's also a prank that was pulled on the filming crew, which was pretty darn funny.

Legend Of Canada

Companion episode to the previous season's 'The Loch Ness Monster'(which of course gets a mention) is equally memorable and effective, as it relates the legend of a similar creature which has been sighted over the centuries in a lake in Western Canada, and interviews with eyewitnesses are interesting, especially the opening recreation of a father and daughter boat trip that almost ended in tragedy... The local native legends of the creature's origins are explored, and one amusing anecdote shows how someone nearly pulled off a successful hoax on the "In Search Of..." team! Highly entertaining and atmospheric.

Worth watching once

Warning: Spoilers
Worth watching once. Well there is the usual back ground on B C's lake Ogopogo monster, Indian legends, and stories. There is an reenactment of a women leg getting bitten! The episode has the pro and cons of the stories, evidence, pictures and such. There is an Ogopogo Monster search! Narration, and music not so scary, but more scientific. Well, interesting episode to watch the first time. Not a classic episode. 5 out of 10 stars.
