Great film for a first of many...
hulmemikey6 December 2008
I went to see the film with Mr Baker when it premiered at the Manchesters Printworks.. and what can I say, for his first film it's great. From the strong character development to the level of realism, this film hits the right note in the Social Realist genre. From the analytical view of a filmmaker of the same age, it is outstanding. This is from the array of skills portrayed from someone of our age (16-18), to the depth in story that is committed to the sadly shortened version of a gritty and hard-hitting film. As the world of cinema has touched upon the themes of growing up and dealing with the stereotypical view of teenagers, it has always been portrayed by directors whom are not within the age group in hand. Reflections on the other hand shows the visions from a teenager living within the stereotypes.
