The Bureau of Secret Projects is advertising in "Muscles and Biceps" magazine to find an additional Mr. Terrific in case something happens to Stanley. Mr. Reed also feels this will make others think they haven't found a successful test subject. Hal reads the magazine spot and decides to apply. Stanley phones Mr. Reed and is reassured he isn't being replaced. He asks Stanley to demonstrate his powers before some important foreign scientists. Internationally renowned scientist Dr. Chelsey (Arnold Moss) is lured by Lorna Gillard (Jill Donohue) where he is knocked out and replaced by infamous spy Victor Brashoff, an identical double who sits in on the demonstration. Learning of Stanley's identity, Victor and Lorna pick him up and they are spotted by Mr. Reed and Mr. Trent who think Stanley has sold out. Victor and Lorna deposit $50,000 in a Swiss bank account for Stanley in an effort to buy his loyalty and profit even greater from it. Mr. Reed and Mr. Trent set out to find Stanley, unsure of their standing with him.
