• Director : Inspector Zenigata... it seems I was wrong about you.

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Huh?

  Director : I thought you were taken hostage because you were sloppy and incapable, but to think you were only pretending, and you had let yourself be caught. I didn't realize.

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Pretending? What do you mean?

  Director : And you used Lupin to lure all the terrorists out, so you could trap all of them. Ingenious.

  [Zenigata bursts into tears] 

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : And for that, I killed Lupin...

  Officer : Director! We searched the helicopter, and we could not find Lupin's body.

  [Zenigata smiles, relieved] 

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Th... Thank God.

• Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Lu... Lupin... We were on different sides of the law, but I liked you.

  [He collapses and beats the ground, sobbing. Lupin, disguised as Napoleon, stands next to him] 

  Arsène Lupin III : [in thought]  I like you, too.

• Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : [in tears]  Lupin! Do you want to make a fool out of me, Zenigata? I absolutely refused to be exchanged as a hostage by the likes of you!

  [He kicks stuff around like an angry toddler. He finds a stick of dynamite that rolled out, then, face still streaked with tears, he picks it up with his teeth and throws it into the fireplace. The terrorists panic and run for cover. Zenigata stands in the middle of the room, eyes closed, sweating profusely and bracing himself for death. No death comes. He looks behind his shoulder and sees that the dynamite was actually a transmitter. One of the terrorists faints. The men angrily pile on Zenigata as he sinks, crying, to his knees] 

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : Shut up!

  [He kicks them away] 

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : I fail at everything, no matter what I do! I can't even die properly!

  [He cries and stamps his feet like a child] 

• Arsène Lupin III : [disguised as Napoleon]  Inspector Zenigata, why don't we make a deal? I hate Lupin for putting me through this. How would you like to capture him yourself?

  Inspector Kouichi Zenigata : I'll take you up on that offer!

  [He rams into Lupin and shoves him into a bush]
