A kidnapping in Rome sets off events that have all three “FBI” teams banding together in a three-hour event on Tuesday, April 4. Jeremy Sisto’s character, special agent Jubal Valentine, jets from the New York Field office to Italy to help out “FBI: International” star Scott Forrester, who’s played by Luke Kleintank. Meanwhile, Stuart Scola (John Boyd) goes undercover and teams up with Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott) of “FBI: Most Wanted” to stop a mass-casualty terror attack in New York City.
Ahead of the episode, Sisto told TheWrap what to expect from Jubal being a “fish out of water” overseas without his usual team around him, his theory on why his character speaks Italian, and which actor he’d like to play Jubal’s Italian grandfather should a future storyline require it.
The crossover starts with “FBI: International,” then segues back to “FBI,” finishing with the Fugitive Task Force on “FBI: Most Wanted.

Innovative, diverse and personal stories won the awards of Karlovy Vary International Film Festival’s Eastern Promises industry program on Monday, taking honors in three sections focused on emerging filmmakers in both narrative and docu genres.
Karlovy Vary industry head Hugo Rosak said the decision by Eastern Promises to allow fiction and non-fiction films to compete alongside each other – a new approach that parallels the fest’s newly reformatted main competition category – is based on the premise that “both categories, despite their differences, possess the same artistic value.”
Jurors from a host of film biz and development organizations gave the Works in Progress Post-Production Development Award, which funds services at Prague’s Upp post house and Soundsquare studio to Iranian-French film “An Owl, a Garden and the Writer,” directed by Sara Dolatabadi, and produced by Dolatabadi, Amir Naderi and Farhad Mohammadi.

Hong Kong-born action director Ringo Lam, who directed the influential crime film “City on Fire,” has died.
Hong Kong media outlets reported the director, who was born Lin Lingdong, was found unresponsive in bed on Saturday by his wife. He was 63.
The 1986 “City on Fire” is considered a landmark film about Hong Kong triads, and won best director at the Hong Kong Film Awards. It was a major influence on Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs.” Lam followed that film up with “Prison on Fire” and “School on Fire.”
“Tarantino has never tried to hide his love for ’70s cinema, and this is part of what makes his take on ‘City on Fire’ so interesting,” wrote IndieWire in an explanation of Tarantino’s influences.

In October 2017, Candi Staton was at a Nashville recording studio, working on a new song called “The Prize Is Not Worth the Pain.” As her band stretched out the disco-funk tune into an extended jam, the singer began improvising phrases and one-liners. At the very end, Staton eventually arrived at the hard, declarative truth she had been working toward the whole time:
“I am somebody,” she growled with a preacher’s conviction, “all by myself.”
When Mark Nevers, Staton’s producer, heard her sing that line, a lightbulb went on.

Innovation is a rarity in most films because it’s usually trumped by laziness. It’s especially true with genre flicks that hew close to an established structure. Movies of the ‘kidnap and torture’ variety more often than not share common setups and resolutions and only differ slightly in the back story of the characters and the pain inflicted. Once in a while though, a movie comes along that gives a much needed twist to a genre convention. Victim is one such example, but unfortunately that fresh take comes at the expense of engaging characters, logic, predictability, and convincing acting. Opening credits inter-cut with a motel room assault captured on home video give way to a young man (Stephen Weigand) sitting alone at a bar. A few minutes of small talk later he’s walking alone to his car when he’s attacked by two men and disappeared into the night. He...

You know that you are in a strange territory when even the film poster for the film makes you uncomfortable. But directors Matt Eskandari and Michael Hultquist do not stop there. The trailer for Victim is here and if you are at work and have not been fired for showing the one-sheet on your screen then go a little farther and watch one young man feminized. Yes, that is right; this guy has his physical masculinity shaved off via a scalpel (yeesh)!
IFC Films continues to set the bar lower in the category of the depraved, with Martyrs and the Human Centipede a mild bloody pitstop. Now, Victim will offer viewers a chance to watch one man undergo involuntary sexual reconstructive surgery. This film debuts on IFC Films November 17 on video-on-demand (Film). A limited theatrical run is expected shortly thereafter. The chilling details unfold below.

The folks over at IFC have unveiled a new poster for the upcoming film 'Victim' and it's certainly turning some heads. We think it's very cool and edgy, though probably not appropriate for the office, though, what horror related product really is?
Check out the poster below and decide for yourselves. We're sure it won't be seen outside any movie theater or anything, but it's quite a unique marketing piece we thought we'd share it.
Victim is written by Mark Williams & Michael Pierce and directed by both Matt Eskandari & Michael Pierce. The film stars Stephen Weigan, Bob Bancroft, Brendan Kelly, Jennifer Howie and Stacy Haiduk.
Vague Synopsis:
What's the ultimate form of revenge? One Young man (Stephen Weigand) is about to find out. After being mysteriously kidnapped by a Doctor (Bob Bancroft) and his violent henchman, he's held captive in the converted cellar of an old mansion. For reasons unknown,...

Our friends over at IFC just released a poster for their upcoming horror/thriller flick Victim that's sure to raise some eyebrows. It's most likely not safe for work...unless you work at a strip club. Read on if you dare... The poster art has us rather curious about what's going on here. Just looking at it kinda makes my neck hurt and my nipples tender. (Stop me if I'm sharing too much.) Unfortunately the official description is light on specifics: What's the ultimate form of revenge? One Young man (Stephen Weigand) is about to find out. After being mysteriously kidnapped by a Doctor (Bob Bancroft) and his violent henchman, he's held captive in the converted cellar of an old mansion....
