- Self - Judge: [from the intro] Now, only three girls remain. Shannon, the all-American virgin...
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: I've got what it takes.
- Self - Judge: And Elyse, the high-fashion premed student...
- [Elyse shoots imaginary gun at audience]
- Self - Judge: and Adrienne, the rock-and-roll tomboy.
- Adrianne Curry: Like, I'm funny, I'm pretty, I got perfect teeth...
- [shows]
- Self - Judge: One of these girls will become America's Next Top Model!
- Elyse Sewell: [wistfully] I miss Robin.
- Adrianne Curry: [chuckles heartily] That was funny.
- [on interview:]
- Adrianne Curry: I'm really glad that Robin's gone.
- Self - Judge: Why do you wanna become a model?
- Adrianne Curry: I love the attention. It makes me... No, I can't say that.
- Self - Judge: [spurs her on] What?
- Adrianne Curry: It makes me feel like God.
- Self - Judge: [chuckling as she speaks out of experience] It sort of is,
- [looks over at Tyra:]
- Self - Judge: isn't it?
- Elyse Sewell: [nowfhat Robin's gone, Shannon's more relaxed] The more I get to know Shannon, the more I like her. I think she's really, really genuine.
- Adrianne Curry: And I really, really enjoyed these past couple of days together, because my
- [joking:]
- Adrianne Curry: evil influence brought out the worst in Snannon.
- [plenty of antics on the bed, much laughter]
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: I think I'm more myself now, because I can at least, uh, be sort of silly at times.
- Adrianne Curry: [re Elyse] She hates modeling. She *hates* everything we do. Yet she's the best at it.
- Self - Judge: [directing on how to walk] Long strides. Shannon is all warm and fuzzy and all-American, I mean, her smile is just like *bing!* In order for her to be successful and take it to the next level, she's gonna have to become more *edgy*, more *interesting.*
- Elyse Sewell: At times, I thought that Shannon was gonna win the competition, but Shannon chose not to participate in the last photo shoot, and now I think she's essentially eliminated her from the competition.
- Self - Judge: Adrianne has come such a long way, and she really wants this, but she's still *so rough around the edges.* She needs a lot of polishing.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: What I like about Adrianne is that she doesn't care what others think of her. She's gonna be who she is, no matter what.
- Self - Judge: I have no idea who's gonna win. *Absolutely no idea,* and I love that.
- Self - Judge: [appraising Shannon] Guess what, Tyra? Her hair is slicked back!
- Self - Judge: I saw.
- Self - Judge: [to Shannon] It looks really pretty back. It makes your neck look very long.
- Self - Judge: I want you to work about three poses of your face.
- [which Shannon does beautifully, outshining the two others]
- Self - Judge: [re that dazzling smile] Toothpaste companies out there, this is your girl!
- Self - Judge: All right!
- Adrianne Curry: [in bathroom, in front of mirror] This zit needs to *go* before tomorrow.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Pop it!
- [chuckles]
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Want me to pop it for you?
- Adrianne Curry: No!
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: I swear it will go down.
- Adrianne Curry: It's painful!
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: I'll pop it.
- Adrianne Curry: No!
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Please?
- [much chuckling by both]
- Adrianne Curry: [interviewed] I really enjoyed our last couple of days together. We're complete opposites, but at least she doesn't make me feel like
- [censored out]
- Adrianne Curry: for being who I am.
- [that night:]
- Adrianne Curry: Goodnight, Shannon.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Goodnight...
- Adrianne Curry: Tomorrow we fight to the death.
- Adrianne Curry: [to Elyse] I just feel like throwing you around like a rag doll!
- [swoops the slight girl up into her arms]
- Self - Judge: [at Blue Fin] When you first came in and saw the ten girls, who did you think would have been your most...
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: When I saw Tessa, I was like "Oh, my word!"
- Self - Judge: What was the toughest part of the competition?
- Adrianne Curry: Living with Katie!
- [much exclaiming from around the table]
- Self - Judge: Why do you hate Katie?
- Adrianne Curry: She did not like me, man!
- Self - Judge: Why not?
- Adrianne Curry: She thought I was really ghetto.
- J. Alexander: Well...
- Elyse Sewell: Today we"re gonna have a go and see for a casting call for a Baby Phat fashion show.
- Self - Judge: [at Baby Phat headquarters] Hi, you guys! Thank you for coming to the house of Baby Phat. I've been casting all day, I'm doing a fashion show. So you guys have to give it all you've got, like the other... hundreds of girls we've been looking at. So I guess it's gonna take everything that we have done thus far and see what you guys got. Adrianne, please, come in. Okay, so we've got something here, and turn around, and walk down that way a d then walk back towards us.
- J. Alexander: [runway diva] Take the turn, and come back...
- Adrianne Curry: Baby Phat, I don't think they did such a good job. I'm always told that I walk like a man.
- J. Alexander: It takes you about five minutes of warming up, and then you come together.
- Adrianne Curry: [humoring him] Yeah...
- J. Alexander: [not to be outdone] Yeah.
- Elyse Sewell: [reading Tyra mail] Two of you will continue on to be become America's Next Top Model. One of you will be eliminated.
- Adrianne Curry: Isn't that weird? Remember when it said "nine of you"...? Now it says "two."
- [from interview:]
- Adrianne Curry: I think I deserve it, because I tried to do my best *everytime* we do anything.
- Elyse Sewell: I don't think that it's acceptable to say that anyone deserves to win this competition. It's really... *not* a basic human right to, uhm, get a modeling contract.
- Self - Judge: Hello, everybody. Tonight is a special elimination, because tonight there will only be two girls left standing, and these two girls will compete in a Baby Phat fashion show. Your performance in that fashion show will help determine who will be America's Next Top Model.
- Adrianne Curry: I wouldn't be nervous in front of people. I'm really not.
- Self - Judge: In four-inch stilettos?
- Adrianne Curry: No, not really. Not in four-inch stilettos.
- [chuckles]
- Self - Judge: I'm just torn, because the title of the show, the meaning of the show, is America's Next Top Model. America's Next Top Model is not just being a high-fashion model. She does more commercial work. She does Sports Illustrated, she does Victoria's Secret, Revlon ads. Drew, I'm not sure she has the commitment. Come on, she fell asleep while you were talking to her.
- Self - Judge: Adrienne is interesting to me, because when she first walked into the semifinals in Los Angeles, she was not a looker.
- [gawky video clip shown]
- Self - Judge: She didn't walk, she hoofed.
- Self - Judge: I mean, look at that,
- [the photo of purple eyeshadow Adrienne with the python]
- Self - Judge: I really love her transformation.
- Self - Judge: The camera loved her, so... I wouldn't ever have any problem working with her.
- Self - Judge: I'm not so sure. She doesn't really sell me.
- Self - Judge: Adrienne's in!
- Self - Judge: [coldly] Out.
- Self - Judge: I think Shannon is the only one I can see... being on the couch of Jay Leno or David Letterman.
- Self - Judge: Knowing... Not knowing the photographers... is sort of not acceptable.
- Self - Judge: You can take a commercial girl and make her more high-fashion. I just don't know if it's possible to do that in a couple of days.
- Self - Judge: [to Adrienne, Shannon and Elyse] Three beautiful young ladies standing in front of me. But only one of you will become America's Next Top Model. How much do you want this? How much do you want this, Adrienne?
- Adrianne Curry: Real damn bad, Tyra Banks. It's been a long strange trip, and... if I win, hell yeah!
- Self - Judge: Shannon?
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Words cannot express how bad I want this. I'm nervous and excited...
- Elyse Sewell: At this point, I don't have any predictions as to who will be eliminated, but Shannon just told me that Jesus told her that I would be staying here, so... that makes me feel pretty... comfortable
- Self - Judge: Shannon. Shannon, if you want this bad, you have to study bad.
- [the young girl squirms guiltily]
- Self - Judge: You have to live and breathe this industry.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Okay.
- Self - Judge: Congratulations. You're still in the running for becoming America's Next Top Model.
- Self - Judge: Will Elyse and Adrienne please step forward?
- Adrianne Curry: [from segments filmed earlier] I don't like going up against... Elyse. I always tell myself that Elyse and I go up against each other, that she would be the one who would get chosen.
- Elyse Sewell: Adrienne is really my closest ally in the house, but I think that Adrienne is really expecting to win.
- Self - Judge: Adrienne. The panel has really stayed on top of you because of your speech. Speech is important. Go work on that *some more.* Elyse. Elyse, your look is really strong... for the fashion world. For the hardcore diehard fashion world. But in order to be a more commercial model, a model that appeals to the masses of America, you have to soften up your look a little bit. I admire your talent, I think you are *so* smart, but one thing about intelligence is that it can intimidate people. And there's a way to use that intelligence in a way that doesn't feel like you're putting down other people and sounding derogatory. Adrienne, congratulations. You're still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
- Elyse Sewell: Tyra told me that I was arrogant and condescending in my speech and my interactions with others, and I think... she was right. I can't say that it feels good to be eliminated, but I also can't deny that there's a certain sense of relief that comes with it. Uhm, you know, it sucks to lose at anything, but the decision has been made for me,
- [chuckles]
- Elyse Sewell: and I'll be a doctor and not a top model.
- Elyse Sewell: Coming into this world of modeling was the result of a bizarre chain of events that I can only describe as flukey in any sense of the word, so when I leave, I'll be gone forever.
- Adrianne Curry: [reminiscing about eliminated contestants] But the one I really honestly didn't like, was someone that I felt was very very very... *fake* when I found out who they were, and that was Robin. She was awful to me.
- Adrianne Curry: [reminiscing about the other contestants] Even though Giselle could be annoying at times, when she wasn't, she was actually cool.
- Adrianne Curry: I'm a little nervous, but I've come so far, I've done so much here, and I wouldn't change this experience for anything in the world.
- Self - Judge: There's no retouching on the runway, there's no room for mistakes. Hopefully it was fierce, hopefully it was perfect. And if it wasn't, the whole room... and the whole world... saw you screw *up.*
- Adrianne Curry: I've been busting my balls trying to win this thing.
- [the night before final elimination]
- Adrianne Curry: Goodnight, Shannon.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Goodnight...
- Adrianne Curry: Good luck. Good luck, Miss Shannon.
- Self - Judge: I did at that time still think that "maybe this one will win." But I'm going to bed tonight, but I don't know. *And I really don't.*
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Tomorrow is the last fitting process.
- Adrianne Curry: Are you scared?
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Yeah. I am very, very nervous.
- Adrianne Curry: We've been living with each other for a long time,
- [chuckles]
- Adrianne Curry: so it's gonna be hard in both aspects, you know. She's an opponent, yeah, yet she's a buddy. I think we both deserve it, but only one of us is gonna get it.
- Self - Judge: Welcome, ladies.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Hello.
- Self - Judge: You all look absolutely stunning. So, you guys experienced your first big fashion show, you walked the catwalk for Baby Phat. The Baby Phat fashion show was your final test. Your life is going to change. We took into account both your performances last night, as well as all of your work in the past several weeks. It will determine who will become America's Next Top Model. The winner will receive a Revlon contract, a contract with one of the top modeling agencies in the world, Wilhelmina Models Inc. And a fashion spread in Marie Claire.
- Self - Judge: [re the picture of Shannon hugging her dream boy] Whoa! With this one, I was
- [Janice laughs]
- Self - Judge: proud of you for bringing a little sexuality into Miss Clean Lady. Miss Innocent is not so innocent in that picture.
- Self - Judge: Adrienne, I love this shot of you. I love the fact that you were so comfortable with that snake. I mean, even when it was kinda starting to strangle you.
- Self - Judge: [re Adrienne's rooftop bikini shot] I love this picture. I wish that you hadn't put the foot in front of the leg. It features the foot though, which makes it look larger than life, like a paddle. Or, or, you know, really big haunches. Uh, but your face rocks.
- Self - Judge: [re Adrienne's tasteful nude shot] I think that it's nice to see a sexy version of, uh, tomboy you.
- Self - Judge: Yeah.
- Self - Judge: I love this picture. That looks like an ad. I think... you look amazing, and I admire your courage.
- Self - Judge: Yeah.
- Self - Judge: To have yourself hanging out like that, but not hanging out.
- Self - Judge: Wish we had one of Shannon from that shoot.
- Self - Judge: You have any words? Anything to say?
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: I may not have been perfect on everything, but I tried to learn and tried to get better. Always been a slow learner. But I can become that supermodel, I got it in me.
- Self - Judge: Adrienne?
- Adrianne Curry: I just want to say this has been one of the best experiences of my life. I found out I - I could be more than just a woman. I could be a sex machine at a lot of things.
- [laughs]
- Self - Judge: You girls have grown leaps and bounds. It's just amazing. We're all so proud of you.
- Self - Judge: Okay, Shannon, Adrienne... the judges will now deliberate. And I'll just let you know honestly... I woke up this morning... not knowing *who* I wanted. Okay, we'll see you in a bit.
- Self - Judge: I have to say that Shannon... blew me away with her performance last night. Adrienne still walked down that runway like she had a broomstick shoved up her ass.
- Self - Judge: [with conviction] Shannon kicked Adrienne's butt.
- Self - Judge: The smile that usually kills me, I didn't see it.
- Self - Judge: I'm going to take off here my negative rude remarks before about her not doing the nude shoot. Big deal! She morphed into a model.
- Self - Judge: It's interesting, Janice, because when I woke up this morning, I was like "Janice has made her decision, I know she's gonna come in there and be gunning for Adrienne. So, I'm looking at her and going "Wow, thanks a lot!"
- Self - Judge: I'm gonna be the voice of dissent.
- [chuckles]
- Self - Judge: I liked Adrienne best last night. I felt that Adrienne had her own kind of walk. I feel like Shannon was trying to do an imitation of a - of a model, whereas Adrienne was just more herself, and I saw kind of more potential. Adrienne has developed a very, kind of, strong walk that's very much her own.
- Self - Judge: I think that as a beautiful woman, I think that Adrienne is - is a more beautiful woman, but what I'm looking at today, Shannon looked really, really commercial.
- Self - Judge: [re Shannon] I think she's reminiscent of Grace Kelly. She can sell diamonds, she's a princess!
- Self - Judge: Oh, I hear everything you say, and I agree,
- [Janice continues to enthuse]
- Self - Judge: and I agree! But I just think - my opinion is that Adrienne has more width and more depth.
- Self - Judge: I think that if you look at these two photographs, you can tell that Adrienne has lived a little bit more. There's something cooking behind Adrienne's eyes.
- Self - Judge: Who is gonna be on that talk show host late-night couch? Shannon is gonna go up there and blow them away, and be able to talk and be eloquent, and Adrienne could be funny, but you're not gonna be able to hear her.
- Self - Judge: You see...
- Self - Judge: And, I thought, okay, if we're doing spokesmodel, then we just have to go back to Shannon.
- Self - Judge: What would Shannon have to say? Wouldn't you be more interested in Adrienne's character?
- Self - Judge: Character, yes, how she sounds, no. This morning I found a piece of paper. It was a list of my twenty semifinalists in LA, and I had my notes for every girl. And I just went down and I saw Adrienne's name. I didn't have one comment about her, the only thing I had next to her name was a big fat NO with an exclamation mark.
- [Janice laughs]
- Self - Judge: And it is freaking me out. This year's finals, and I'm stuck here, I don't know what the hell to do.
- Self - Judge: Just out of curiosity, what did you have next to Shannon?
- Self - Judge: Miss Apple Pie, very commercial, very sellable.
- Self - Judge: She was dope last night!
- Self - Judge: Will Adrienne and Shannon come in please?
- [they step up]
- Self - Judge: Hi, girls.
- Shannon Stewart-Ratliff: Hi.
- Self - Judge: Let's remind you what's at stake. A contract with Revlon. A fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine. Representation by top modeling agency Wilhelmina. The judges have reached a decision. One of you is about to become a star... in a matter of minutes. Your life is going to change. The winner's picture is hanging... behind me. And when the cloth is dropped... it will reveal who will be America's Next Top Model. Adrienne. You have transformed like Cinderella. When I picked you in LA, my semifinals, I was like, "I don't know if she'll even make it to the finals." When you got here, first week I was like, "I don't think she'll make it to the second week." And you're standing here. Shannon. You have a look that all the judges thought were so commercial, so safe, some of us said "a boring look." But you walked that runway last night like a, diva. You stole that show, the show was yours. The decision is made. America's Next Top Model is...
- [the cloth drops]
