The part of Ruthless Rees Stewart was written for a man, but when Samantha Rees turned up to audition for Lucy, Stuart Brennan suggested to Neil Jones that she could in fact pull of Rees. She read for the part and impressed so much Jones cast her on the spot.
The now cult fight scene in the toilets was Jones' tribute to the over the top bar room brawls of eighty's cop films.
It was feared that actor Paul McIntosh had caught hypothermia after lying on the freezing floor of a warehouse for one shot.
