Paradise Lodge is visited by two Father Christmas's.

Warning: Spoilers
It's Christmas Eve, and Flora's drawing lots to see who's going to play Father Christmas. It's Cissie that draws the short straw and gets to play Santa, down to the kindheartedness of Flora. Dolly is drunk and Cissie is too excited to sleep, keeping Flora awake. That night a burglar breaks in to Paradise Lodge, dressed as Santa he plans his escape, through Cissie. A mix up with the sack means that the loot hasn't gone very far.

I love the scene between Cissie and the burglar dressed as Santa, it's very touching. She was such an innocent. The best bit has to be Dolly waking up from her drunken slumber and seeing two Santas in the landing.

It's a shame there were only two Christmas specials, both are funny and nice light viewing.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

It is Christmas Eve at Paradise Lodge. Flora sees to it that Cissie draws the short straw to play Santa and dish out the presents on Christmas Day.

Cissie drives Flora crazy by practising her 'ho ho ho's' wrongly. Her Santa Claus costume is too big, thankfully Dolly had one of her own which does fit her.

At the night before Christmas a burglar breaks in, before Flora gets to him he quickly puts on the spare Santa Clause outfit. When Flora sees the person she thinks it is Cissie and puts her back into her room. When Cissie sees the man, she really thinks he is the real Father Christmas. Cissie tells him that she sat on his knee when she was a little girl and they practice their 'Ho Ho Ho' together.

When a drunken Dolly sees two Father Christmases trying to go down the stairs no one believes her. On Christmas Day the residents find out that the presents to each other seem to be a lot more valuable.

This was the final episode of the show, Cissie's innocence was really the highlight, even though you can understand why she frustrated Flora so much.

Glynn Edwards played the burglar. He appeared in a previous episode as a policeman.
