Sister Blandina (1850-1941) was sent to open a school in Trinidad, CO in December 1872, and remained until December 1876. She was subsequently sent to Santa Fe, NM, where she built several schools and orphanages, and visited prison inmates, including Billy the Kid. In 2015, her supporters took the first step leading to her sainthood.
