Looking for great stand-up on Netflix? We count down twenty-five highly recommended comedy specials on the streaming service...
In the face of ever-declining DVD sales, Netflix has quickly become the foremost place to discover new stand-up material. The streaming giant is on track to release over 50 exclusive specials in 2017 alone, signing big names (with big cheques) from both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.

There is a downside to this remarkable release schedule, though. With so many new specials out there, instantly accessible, it can sometimes feel like the smaller fish in the pond are getting short shrift. Amy Schumer, Dave Chappelle and Jerry Seinfeld have all been featured this year alone: with only so many column inches (and so much screen space) to occupy,...

We have another gorgeous song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. Titled ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan’, the track is an epic love ballad between a brave king Maharawal Ratan Singh depicted by Shahid Kapoor and a courageous queen, Rani Padmini played by Deepika Padukone.
The melodious music composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with lyrics by A M Turaz, features the incredible vocals of Shivam Pathak. Shot as only Bhansali can do it, ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan’ showcases the majaesty of this film with breath-taking palatial visuals with regal garments.

Releasing 1st December, through Paramount Pictures, Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone as the legendary Rajput queen from the kingdom of Chittor, Rani Padmini. Pinewood Studios names its new soundstage after the late Sir Roger Moore...
Now this is a lovely touch. Days after what would have been his 90th birthday, Pinewood Studios has opened a soundstage named after the late, great Sir Roger Moore.
Sir Roger died back in May, and his wife and children were in attendance at the opening of the new stage. Also there were the likes of Sir Michael Caine, Dame Joan Collins, Stephen Fry and longtime 007 producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
Sir Roger Moore had an office at Pinewood since 1970, and going forward, The Roger Moore Stage is set to play host to many productions in the future. A fitting tribute to a one-off man.

The romantic and winsome “Looking” had two near-perfect seasons on HBO before it was cut down in its prime. Apparently, us audiences were more into dragons and sword play than the low-key romantic dramatics of a group of gay friends in San Francisco. Thankfully, HBO has delivered closure on the series in the form of […]

When one looks back at mid ‘70s to early ‘80s horror, it’s quite surprising to see how many Canadian made films are nestled among fan favorites. Titles such as Black Christmas, Shivers, Prom Night, Happy Birthday to Me, and My Bloody Valentine continue to delight and shock veteran horror lovers or those just starting their jagged journey down the terror path. There is one, however, that due to a troubled production and poor distribution, seems relegated to the discount bins of time. Today, we’re pulling back the curtain on, uh, Curtains (1983), an unsung slasher weirder than a sack full of rabid beavers.
Released by Jensen Farley Pictures in March of ’83 in the Us, and September of ’84 by Norstar Releasing in (my home and) native land, Curtains received a very limited release in both countries, but coming as it did at a time when the Canadian film industry had...

“In My City I am Alone…Main Hi Na Jaanu Ke Main Hoon Kaun?” I am sure that many of you are enjoying this wonderful song from The Xpose that is currently riding high in the charts.
When two great musicians Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh come together, we can only expect magic. Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh share a special musical bond and that is clearly visible when one listens to Hai Apna Dil from Himesh’s forthcoming film The Xpose. The main twist in the song is the unique combination of English and Hindi lyrics that are written by one of Bollywood’s finest lyricists Sameer Anjaan. Himesh has sung the song with utmost ease and one can also hear the variations in his voice as he sings the lines “Mausam Aaj Toh Bada Beqaraar Hai, Aise Main Mujhe Tera Intezar Hai…” Another surprise...

Dry those tears - it's happened. After teaming with the Silence, frying a wooden Cyberman, defeating an army of Daleks and - quite literally - saving Christmas, Matt Smith's Doctor took his final bow...
Doctor Who's festive special 'The Time of the Doctor' saw our aged, battle-worn hero granted a new regeneration cycle by the Time Lords and, after bidding a heartfelt goodbye-of-sorts to Jenna Coleman's Clara, Smith's 11th (or is that 13th?) was replaced in a flash by Capaldi's 12th (14th?).
Doctor Who: Steven Moffat bids a fond farewell to Matt Smith
But what did you think of the hour-long swansong? The perfect send-off or a crushing disappointment? A fitting tribute or a missed opportunity?
Digital Spy has already passed judgement on 'The Time of the Doctor' - now it's your turn! Share your thoughts on Matt Smith's emotional exit in the comments section below.

★★★★☆ A fitting tribute to the late director Kaneto Shindō, who sadly passed away in May of last year at the age of 100, this week's Masters of Cinema series' Blu-ray rerelease of 1964 Japanese drama Onibaba (The Demoness) is every bit as bountiful and lush as the swaying susuki grass fields found within. A heady blend of dark psychosexuality and 14th century period authenticity lies in wait, with Shindō's film still rightly revered for its pioneering depiction of both brutal, bloody violence and searing on-screen sexuality, optimised by its two female leads - the cold-eyed Nobuko Otowa and the nubile Jitsuko Yoshimura.

Community delved further into darker territory this week following the ending of last week’s episode in which we learn Star-Burns had perished when a meth lab in the trunk of his car exploded. His death has kick-started a chain of events that could see the end of the study group. The ‘Chang Rises’ arc also hits full stride as Dean Pelton reluctantly enlists the protection of ‘The Changlorious Bastards’.
Alex Osbourne may be dead and gone but that doesn’t stop him popping up a few times in this weeks episode for some more laughs, namely his video will in which he asks Abed to make a tribute video for him and leaves him with footage of himself acting a fool in front of a green screen. Later in the study group, Annie points out how awkward and quiet it is because of Star-Burns death,...
