Horror fans have been looking forward to seeing Mike Flanagan's Before I Wake since the film was teased in trailers back in 2015, but bankruptcy issues at Relativity Media delayed and ultimately brought the movie's release to a halt. Since that time, Flanagan directed two well-received films for Netflix, and the streaming service has now revealed that they will bring Before I Wake out of film purgatory and into the warm glow of the TV screen.
Netflix revealed the exciting Before I Wake news in their full announcement of titles being added to their streaming lineup in January of 2018. Starring Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Jane, and Kate Bosworth, Before I Wake will be available to watch on the streaming service beginning Friday, January 5th, marking its first official release in the Us (it was previously released internationally, including in the UK by Netflix).

Say this for 2018: It can’t be any worse than 2017, right? (Spoiler: It totally can.) At least Netflix’s first batch of offerings inspires cautious optimism in the new year, with everything from the entire “Godfather” trilogy, “Marie Antoinette,” five different “Batman” films and five different “Bring It On” movies (did you even know they’d made that many?), “Midnight in Paris,” the complete “Lethal Weapon” collection, “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” and “The Truman Show” coming to the streaming service in January.

As for Netflix Originals, there are several: “Before I Wake” and “Rotten” are both available to stream as of January 5, “Somebody Feed Phil” and “The Polka King” premiere a week later, “The Open House” arrives on the 19th, and “A Futile and Stupid Gesture” and “Dirty Money” both debut on the 26th.

After being challenged to a global cheerleading showdown by an ambitious new rival, national champion Destiny (Prosperi) and her team set out to compete in a virtual cheerleading competition organised by the Cheer Goddess (Fox). Taking on squads from all over the world, Destiny is pushed to the limit as she attempts to lead her team to glory.
I know what you’re thinking: “There’s Another Bring It On movie?” Apparently there is… This time round we’re scrapping the bottom of the proverbial story barrel, once again rehashing concepts from other movies to create a story which screams been-there-done-that. Gone is the charisma and charm of the early films and in comes more of a Disney Channel level of storytelling and acting, with an obsession...

After the Met Gala in May 2014, a video showing Solange Knowles beating up Jay Z, her brother-in-law, in an elevator quickly went viral. Solange and Jay were joined in the elevator by Beyoncé and the couple's bodyguard, who had to physically restrain Solange at multiple points during their elevator ride. Since the video had no sound (it was taken from a security camera), there is little insight into what was said and why Beyoncé's sister reacted so violently. Of course, that hasn't stopped just about every person on the Internet from speculating about what went down. Theories range from Solange getting sparked by an argument with Rachel Roy to Solange acting out after Jay dissed her friends and tried to leave for a different afterparty without his wife. We've gathered up the top explanations below and decided which is most likely the closest we'll ever get to the truth.

There are now a staggering four sequels to 2000's feelgood cheerleading hit Bring It On, but are they any good?
This article contains spoilers for the assorted Bring It On movies.

2000’s Bring It On is a very odd duck.
It’s not that the film is particularly innovative about how it spins its narrative – there’s a pretty standard set of beats in place for a sports movie – but traditionally, sports movies don’t tend to have a predominantly female cast (and even something like A League Of Their Own was somewhat led by Tom Hanks). Not only that, it’s a movie with a predominately female cast that isn’t entirely focused on love or romance.

The new year is upon us, and it’s time to clean up Netflix once again. Don’t fear too much though, as much as we hate to see some of our favorites leave Netflix, they do a pretty good job at adding some great new content. We lose Almost Famous, A Clockwork Orange, American Psycho, The Graduate, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and all the Rocky movies – and we get Intolerable Cruelty, Training Day, The Rundown and a new Netflix Original for Degrassi: The Next Class.

The latest castings for "The Hunger Games" basically promises its studio, Lionsgate, is ensuring that the film's action kicks butt.
Though the characters go unnamed in the book, Hollywood stunt doubles Kara Petersen and Ashton Moio will play the District 6 tributes.
Petersen, who specializes in gymnastics, has played the stunt double in "Bring It On: In It to Win it," "Tsunami Beach Club," and the upcoming summer film, "Super 8."
Moio, a black belt in tae kwon do, has been seen in several films including "Charlie Wilson's War," "Hop," "Red Riding Hood," and "The Ring Two."
In the young adult novel, not much is known about District 6. It's believed their primary industry is medicine. Both its tributes die at the Cornucopia where the games begin, but we expect the two actors to put up a good fight!

Casting for The Hunger Games is back at it again today with the announcement of the actors who will play District 6′s Tribut Boy and Tribute Girl. The official Facebook page for the film updated their page showing the pictures of Ashton Moio and Kara Petersen as the latest two added to the film.
Moio will play the Tribute Boy and Petersen will play the Tribute Girl. If you haven’t heard of these two actors before, don’t feel bad. They have some screen work, but haven’t had any major roles. Both of them have done stunts for popular films, which it seems like The Hunger Games is looking for a lot of stunt doubles to fill in the roles for the Tribute Boys and Girls. Hit the jump to see what flicks these two young’uns have worked on.

Six years after "Mean Girls" made Lindsay Lohan a breakout star, Paramount is at work on a sequel to the movie -- but unless Ali is looking for work, it will in all likelihood be Lohan-free.
"Mean Girls 2" is scheduled to begin shooting in Atlanta next month, and from the sound of things it's an in-name-only sequel to the 2004 movie, which was written by Tina Fey and co-starred Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert. Think more "Bring It On: In It to Win It" than, say, "The Dark Knight."
The story centers on a character named Jo, who agrees to become friends with wallflower Abby when Abby's rich dad agrees to pay Jo's college tuition.
The two take on a new group of Plastics, and given our knowledge of other high-school movies, we're guessing Jo will discover that she genuinely likes Abby, their relationship will be tested when Abby...

If "Bring It On," "Bring It On: All or Nothing," "Bring It on Again," "Bring It On: In It to Win It" and "Bring It On Fight to the Finish" have taught us anything, it's that cheerleading is serious stuff. Cassie Scerbo is the modern-day version of a triple threat. A cable actress, pop singer and an accomplished dancer, her skill trifecta has earned her roles in a number of projects including Bring It On: In It to Win It and currently, ABC Family's second highest rated series Make It or Break It, where she plays Lauren Tanner, Rocky Mountain's "bitch of the beam." When she isn't embodying one of the nastiest characters on ABC Family, the upbeat actress packs her schedule with voice overs, auditions, online college courses, church and a boyfriend, her Make It co-star Cody Longo.
Earlier this week, Movieline caught Scerbo in a rare moment off to discuss her Facebook death threats, an upcoming cameo in the Not Another parody movie co-starring Chevy Chase, and nearly everything in between. Although she was hoarse from a nonstop itinerary, the upswinging actress presented herself with the certainty of a star.
