The vain and shallow Olive is having trouble taking her own picture. She wants to be in a fashion magazine. Finally, she just throws the camera out the window. Of course, it hits Popeye in the face. He's on his way, with flowers, to see his girl. When he knocks on the door and tells her "It's me, Popeye," she snaps, "Scram!" When he mentions, "I brought you some presents," she answers, "Well, in that case, come in!"
The unbelievably impatient and bossy Olive gets testy when Popeye needs a few minutes to wind the film. (How many of you remember having to wind the film?) The writers make a few gags about that, showing a few new signs and symbols on the film. When the picture- taking doesn't work out, Olive literally kicks Popeye out the door where he crashes into Brutus, who was on his way, with flowers, to see Olive.
The rest is the two men fighting over trying to please Olive by taking her picture. What redeemed this juvenile cartoon was the ending, which included a cool Picasso-like drawing of Olive. In the end, we get a change of pace: Popeye and Brutus actually walking off together singing the same Popeye-ending song, both victims of Olive's temper tantrums and neither one of them a winner! (Actually, maybe they were as Olive is hardly a prize!)
