The entire film is FOXXY!

I'm so glad I caught Foxxy Madonna when it was available online. Jakob Bilinski is a talented up and coming writer/producer/director that's not a force to be reckoned with when it comes to making movies. Shot entirely in 48-hours, Bilinski takes us back to the days of 70s-esque action-flicks pitting a spy (Foxxy Madonna) against a ruthless villain named The Black Death in a shoot 'em up war that'll keep you on the edge of your seat! A terrific cast, a good location, and a killer soundtrack featuring indie rap group Cream of the Crop, one can only wonder why Foxxy Madonna vs. The Black Death wasn't a winner at the 48-Hour Film Festival (which it was shot for). It has action, hot women, good music, and creative characters (my favorite is a villain who's mute but uses a chalkboard to speak). Stay tuned after the credits for a bonus scene that adds twist to the story. When it comes to Foxxy, one can only hope for a sequel or a feature film to develop. :)

Oustanding work

This film has earned both awards hands down. The work shows the quality of months of preparation and filming rather than the 48 hours from script to screen time frame allotted. The plot is very well crafted, the action is non stop and gives a great deal of suspense throughout. Hands down a movie to definitely see. I look forward to the future projects as this director seems to vastly improve with every project. The acting was superb especially from the veteran cinephreaks actor Jomar "Dez" Banks. The cinematography was spot on as the camera left the eyes with enough to take in and revel in the story line. The inclusion of the director in the film is a hallmark venture for Jakob Bilinski that does not detract from the film and only adds the excitement one gets with the discovery of film easter eggs. This film definitely should have a series created for it.

In Your Face Action!

After watching Foxxy Madonna Vs the Black Death I just had to watch it again... and again... and again! The action is flawless and the story is solid. The moments of comedy relief were executed with ease and were actually downright funny. After learning that this film was made over the span of two days, I was able to appreciate it that much more. Although the director's cut is only fifteen minutes, the film feels very complete and satisfying in the end. The editing of this movie is something to be marveled. Everything was totally on-point, from the acting to the great locations. I've never seen miniDV look so good! Foxxy Madonna also has one of the more interesting villains I have seen as of late, a character simply known as Chalkboard. Oh, and the opening credits are amazing! The film even has a kick-ass soundtrack! What it all comes down to is that Foxxy Madonna has it all! This is one of the best short films I have seen, and I would have no problem recommending it to any and all film buffs. For fans of intense action and retro/seventies/blaxploitation/spy genres, you MUST NOT MISS FOXXY MADONNA VS THE BLACK DEATH!!! "Get that bitch!"

Quite an achievement!

I recently had the chance to see Foxxy Madonna vs the Black Death at the MIFA Film Festival (2007) and I must say that I was quite impressed by it. The story behind the production and the conditions (time and budget restrictions especially) in which the movie was produced make the project even more remarkable. This movie is a perfect example of the crew's skills, talent and passion. I can't believe they pulled it off! I highly recommend it and I find it truly inspiring, especially to aspiring filmmakers out there. I am now very interested to see more projects from Mr. Jakob Bilinski, especially if these are within the horror/suspense genre. Keep it up, Jake! We need more people like you out there!
