Penelope and Dimitris, a couple of taciturn cremation workers, live on the fringes of a bleak city. To make a living, the strange specialists pay house calls to people who have lost their beloved pets, offering their usual comforting routine. In a time of loneliness and disintegration, the unusual employees do their best to assure the grieving owners that they will treat their dead animals with respect. Above all, Penelope and Dimitris ensure top-notch services. But in a world that is falling apart, the boundaries between life and death are fragile. Can there be a spiritual connection between humans and animals?
