COBRA stands for Cabinet Office Briefing Room and is used here as the code word identifier for the emergency calling together of the Prime Minister, the 22 cabinet secretaries as well as heads of the military and intelligence agencies and any other officials deemed necessary to the issue at hand.. Also included would be the most trusted aides and advisers of the aforementioned, but only those with the requisite security level clearance. COBRA meetings are not held in the formal Cabinet Room located upstairs in #10 but instead are specially held in a below ground bunker type faculty with state of the art communications.
The aircraft cockpit set used to film the opening scenes is the same one used in Spyfall: Part One (2020) which first aired some two weeks prior, and even includes the same fictitious registration number for the aircraft, "G-BGUX".
Hans Herbots directed the first three episodes of the season before Al Mackay took over helming duties.
Mostly filmed in and around Liverpool.
