- Kate Bishop: You lost your family in the blip?
- Clint Barton: Yeah. Like half the world.
- Kate Bishop: God, that must have been devastating.
- Clint Barton: Yeah, there are no words.
- Kate Bishop: Is that where you met the Ronin?
- Clint Barton: [stays silent]
- Kate Bishop: It's you, isn't it?
- Clint Barton: Everybody dealt with the Blip in their own way. I continued to do what I was trained to do.
- Kate Bishop: Protect people.
- Clint Barton: Hurting people. Investigating first, but in the end, my job was always been to hurt people.
- Kate Bishop: Well, we're just going to have to come up with a plan to take down my mother's fiancée organized crime ring while simultaneously having a heartwarming holiday celebration.
- Clint Barton: No, it's not impossible. The first arrow you release just has to be wood. So when you release the second one, it splits it up the middle.
- Kate Bishop: I call bullshit. I've tried it.
- Clint Barton: Well, I've done it a few times.
- Kate Bishop: You got any other cool tricks?
- Clint Barton: Well, I can knock somebody unconscious what that, like, 20 feet away.
- Kate Bishop: No, you can't.
- Clint Barton: I'd use a quarter or a nickel. A dime's too light.
- Kate Bishop: Prove it.
- Clint Barton: What, knock you unconscious?
- Kate Bishop: No, I want you to hit something. Fine, live forever without me believing you. I'll just every stranger that I see that Hawkeye is full of bullshit.
- Eleanor Bishop: Let me clarify.
- Clint Barton: Yeah.
- Eleanor Bishop: She is not a superhero.
- Clint Barton: Oh, yeah. Come on, I already knew that. She's pretty good at all this, but...
- Eleanor Bishop: Natasha Romanoff was pretty damn good at it, wasn't she? Being good isn't always enough to keep you alive.
- Clint Barton: I see.
- Eleanor Bishop: Clint?
- Clint Barton: Yeah.
- Eleanor Bishop: Do you have kids? Yeah, I'm gonna assume that you do. It's been a rough week for my family. But I am letting you know that I cannot lose Kate. I've lost people before. I know in your line of work, you have, too.
- Clint Barton: I understand. Okay.
- Eleanor Bishop: So, you'll forget this case?
- Clint Barton: I can't do that. But what I can do is ensure that your daughter stays safe. Okay?
- Kate Bishop: Have you ever heard of boomerang arrows?
- Clint Barton: What? Why would I ever want to use a boomerang arrow?
- Kate Bishop: Because they come back.
- Clint Barton: Exactly.
- Kate Bishop: Yeah, well, if all trick arrows were boomerangs, then we'd have them all.
- Clint Barton: Coming back at us.
- Kate Bishop: You'd have to... You'd have to dodge.
- Eleanor Bishop: Wow! A superhero house call and a serenade, all in one day.
- Jack Duquesne: Well, you know what they say... life is short. You're never know what you're gonna get.
- [Eleanor and Kate laugh]
- Jack Duquesne: What? What'd I say? Did I say something wrong or...
- Kate Bishop: Every time you use those aphorisms, they are... wrong.
- Jack Duquesne: What? No. That can't be right, is it? Darling. Please.
- Eleanor Bishop: The other say, you said, 'Absence makes the heart grow older."
- Eleanor Bishop: I would like my daughter to start telling the truth.
- Kate Bishop: I logged into your account because I needed information on an actual case with actual people who are in actual danger.
- Eleanor Bishop: So, Kate is helping you with an Avengers-level threat?
- Clint Barton: Well, not exactly.
- Eleanor Bishop: But you are working together?
- Clint Barton: Yes. Sounds weird, 'cause it is.
- Eleanor Bishop: Okay. Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to trust everyone at this table to do what's right.
